Stupid comment - if we’re 1-0 or even 2-0 down with 10 minutes to go, it fustrates me when people leave early because 1 goal and a lifted crowd could change the end result ...
..but 4-0 down with 8 minutes left and no fit defenders on the pitch... yes I left early (84th) I had an hour and half drive home and wanted to get ahead of the traffic.
I’ll be there next week, as I am every week .

A full section talking about something that is not relevant. The way thing I will say on the matter is this. Walking out sends a clear financial message to the owners and management. In some cases it shows passion that this pile of crap is NOT acceptable. Tell me a damn good reason people should stand there clapping a team off when they have been battered? It’s like inviting a burglar in for a cup of tea. Come on you lot. Get a grip! ?

Absolutely no one needs to justify themselves to Tony or anyone else.

What was more worrying is that some of our seats emptied when we went two behind on 30 minutes. That did not look good.

I stayed until the end with my friends Trevor, Keith and Alan. We thought about leaving on 70 minutes but now looking back i think i wasted 20 minutes of my life

My personal choice was to stay to the end and applaud the team off for what I thought was a pretty decent effort under the circumstances.
Although I was frustrated by those 3 shocking defensive errors and our ongoing problem of creating and putting away chances, I was on the edge of my seat until the late third goal went in. It would have been VERY interesting to see what would have happened if we got it back to 2-1, as we very nearly did.
I enjoyed much of our play yesterday and I wanted to show my appreciation to the team.

agree with this entirely "Werrers, are you absolutely certain you are not me in disguise? I don't normally leave early but I left after the 4th goal yesterday. I only got back from holiday late on Friday night. I have to head to Salisbury tomorrow (6 hrs drive for me) for my aunt's funeral so I have no conscience about leaving early from a match where the result was certain and where I enjoyed a lot of our football - daft defensive errors apart. But I felt I needed to beat the traffic and try to get home (2.5 hour drive for me) at a respectable time last night to make the best of a 36 hour turnaround before driving down to the funeral. To answer Tony's rant at the top of the thread, I normally stay to the bitter end AS DO MOST FANS, MOST OF THE TIME. Unlike Tony I have no problem with fans arriving or leaving whenever they want to - it is a free country after all. My ONLY problem with fans leaving early are those who get up and stand on the steps blocking my view of the game for the last 5-10 minutes. If you want to leave, leave, if you want to stay to the end, stay in your seat - thanks. Tony - lighten up - you are only harming your health with these rants - and you are boring the arse off me and many other Stokies." I personally dont understand why people leave a game early especially when people use excuses about getting off the car park. You pay to watch a 90 minute game so why people would intentionally only stay for 75/80 minutes on a constant basis regardless of the result is what i dont get. Do those people also buy a ticket to a concert and leave with 20 minutes left, or the same at the cinema? Surely you plan your day accordingly knowing a match is 3-5 and it will take x amount of time to get home.
This is just a general on those that have a mentality of going to a game but with no intention of staying to the end, i just cant fathom it. (I get that a lot did it yesterday out of frustration, but thos leaving after 75/80 minutes when 2-2 all against man utd didnt)
