i.e. about 25,000 Ejector seats off fast military jet aircraft
so, the crowd can 'bail out' even faster when the going gets tough
dress it up how you like, make any excuses you like - I really dont care
'Ive paid my money I'll do what I like -' its even harder to get off the car park etc etc
(all the usual apologist excuse laden shyte)
in terms of supposedly elite football team support today
THAT WAS FUCKING APPALLING !

People pay their money and can do what they want. It really isn't up for discussion or judgement.
Some people are happy to sit and watch until the end, others aren't.

I left early Tony, not because we were poor ( far from it we we played well ) but then again being the wank fan I am I'll be at Man City just as I was at Newcastle last week, every away game so far and also Leipzig
What about you ?

I never leave early but left on 81 today after the 4th goal. Why should I stay to bitter end to applaud a bunch of players who have been shite 3 games on the bounce and have completely capitulated once again and a manager who keeps making the same errors he's been making for the past 18 months? If I want to shoot off early after watching that I've every right to IMO.

Surely we shouldnt just politely clap any old shite?, if i stay to the end am i allowed to boo?. If todays result hadnt been of the back of the dissapointing Newcastle and awful Bristol City game you might have seen more stay to aknowledge there efforts.

Does this subject really need to get brought up after every home game?! You really must have nothing else better going on in your life to be worried by the fact folk decide to leave the ground when they feel the need too for whatever reason they decide. I left after the 4th went in today purely coz it was hurting me to see us being over ran so easily & I really didn't want to witness or could of hacked a 5th going in! In my opinion the players don't deserve a standing ovation after a 0-4 defeat, as fans we never really get a say in things that happen regarding the team on the pitch, so people getting up early and leaving on mass at least should make the players realise they haven't earnt their £50k-£100k wages this particular week & the powers that be can at least see the majority aren't happy with what their being subjected too. Come to think of it the players probably don't really care whose there to wave them off at the end coz their handsome wages are paid to them regardless!
On the flipside to this Old Traffords always half empty with 5 mins to go & their usually winning at that point! Maybe it's just the way of the world these days. But it really isn't a big issue..Get over it

It's their money, if they want to buy a ticket but choose to stay at home and have a wank and then use said ticket to clean up the mess it's entirely up to them.

I left early Tony, not because we were poor ( far from it we we played well ) but then again being the wank fan I am I'll be at Man City just as I was at Newcastle last week, every away game so far and also Leipzig What about you ? Werrers, are you absolutely certain you are not me in disguise? I don't normally leave early but I left after the 4th goal yesterday. I only got back from holiday late on Friday night. I have to head to Salisbury tomorrow (6 hrs drive for me) for my aunt's funeral so I have no conscience about leaving early from a match where the result was certain and where I enjoyed a lot of our football - daft defensive errors apart. But I felt I needed to beat the traffic and try to get home (2.5 hour drive for me) at a respectable time last night to make the best of a 36 hour turnaround before driving down to the funeral. To answer Tony's rant at the top of the thread, I normally stay to the bitter end AS DO MOST FANS, MOST OF THE TIME. Unlike Tony I have no problem with fans arriving or leaving whenever they want to - it is a free country after all. My ONLY problem with fans leaving early are those who get up and stand on the steps blocking my view of the game for the last 5-10 minutes. If you want to leave, leave, if you want to stay to the end, stay in your seat - thanks. Tony - lighten up - you are only harming your health with these rants - and you are boring the arse off me and many other Stokies.

Think we only need enough ejector seats for you and the people who liked this post if you cant see that having 5 central defenders out through injury would effect a team in both confidence and also ability then you and the rest of your supporters should use the seats without a parachute to help your way back to earth Although on the face of it 4 nil looks bad how many other teams in the prem can take 5 injuries etc that we have had and still not concede 4 or more for goodness sake we started the match with 1 centre back and 4 fullbacks not out of choice just because we had too !! grow up and support the team instead of trying to promote yourself as a know it all no nothing!!

A full section talking about something that is not relevant. The way thing I will say on the matter is this. Walking out sends a clear financial message to the owners and management. In some cases it shows passion that this pile of crap is NOT acceptable.
Tell me a damn good reason people should stand there clapping a team off when they have been battered? It’s like inviting a burglar in for a cup of tea.
Come on you lot. Get a grip!
