Not sure how relevant this is to Leslie's main job of managing a Prem football team tbh, not very on tonight's evidence. We didn't do enough, Sparky didn't do enough, Bristol did do enough and good luck to them in the next round, brilliant group of fans when we were sparring in the Champ.
A nominal 3 from me
* if you were there please - wonder how many Stokies made the journey tonight, did we manage 3 figures?

According to the announcer 1500 fans made the journey. Very disappointing game Berahino looked lost up front although he did plenty of running. Ramadan has good control but nearly always fails to look up before delivering his final pass. We were just outplayed by a very good counter attacking side that exposed our defensive frailties. Can't really put the blame on the manager when players are just not up for it. His subs were timely but largely ineffective although Berahino did liven the game up until they scored the first early in second half.
6* for me.

4* from me. I had hoped for a strong team , essentially a first Xi with Grant/Saido, but the team that was out there should have managed it.
I liked the fact that Mark had the cojones to bring on another striker at half time , a rare half time sub for hughes. But the final two substitutions were far too late to influence the game
Highlight of the evening for me was speaking to Malcolm and seeing the Caerwrangon South Wales stokies flags

Can't bring myself to offer a rating for what appears to have been an abject performance lacking in all aspects - I do question his motivational skills.....still...

4* - Didn't get up from his seat until about 15 minutes into the game by which time we could have been 2-0 down. Switched the formation to 4-4-2 on 40 mins and for the second half but we could have been playing for ages without scoring. Clear to me that he didn't want to chase the game at 2-0 otherwise the subs would have been made sooner surely.
Players lacked drive, a plan, basic skills and any energy. Have any of his signings added anything to the squad?

3 from he knew 2 seasons ago that our goal scoring was shite and sorry Sparky it still is!!! Not buying a decent striker in 2 windows shows his lack of striker assessment.

3* outplayed by Bristol City. Could've been 7-2. One of the worst performances I've seen. Bristol City were well deserved winners. Not happy. Stoke support were very good and good on us.

2* - utterly awful tonight. Team looked demotivated, unbalanced, lacking in potency coming forward and disorganised at the back. The change to a 4-4-2 at half time was suicidal and left Shaq and Diouf until the game was basically over.

Zero. I've been a big supporter of Hughes but he's lost me after that embarrassing debacle. His race is run.

I didn't think he selected that bad a side from what he had available. The fact that some of those available are pretty shite IS down to him, though.
I don't think our squad is very good at all, and I am mystified when people rave about it.
I give Hughes a 4. Charlie was a red card waiting to happen and should have been subbed earlier, Berahino should have started, but the main thing is we weren't "at it" and it's his job to assure that they are.

With the squad we have,we should be able to select 11 players who should beat a Championship reserve side.
A big fat 0 from me.

3* we played into their hands by having such a pedestrian midfield. That allowed BC to take the in initiative from the off, helped tremendously by a couple of "howlers" from Charlie that very nearly cost us goals
Having Johnson and Adam starting really did turn out to be a grave error.
Not sure if Tymon was injured but he wouldn't have been my first choice to be replaced at half-time.
Long journey to see such a shambolic performance

He's just not pulling up any trees and we are in real danger of stagnating under him. I guess not all of the blame lands at his feet but given the farce of last season and still no real cup run to talk about Im not really sure where the club can head with Hughes still in charge.
We are stagnating despite the array of attacking talent we have at the club. Maybe it is time too go but I don't think Sir Peter will see it that way. That decision will need to be made by the Coates siblings if they feel the same.
Im giving him a 2. Losing against a Bristol City reserve team with the players we have is inexcusable. There are players who need to be let go in order for the squad to progress and sadly two of these players still seemingly feature prominently in the managers plans.

What fucking annoys me is the manager and players know we are playing for just two things, the FA cup and League cup and they just can't raise their game.
I'd rather lose to Man Utd 0-6 and go on to Wembley.
Well January we'll see who knocks us out.
