BBC web site - Andriy Yarmolenko, who was close to joining Stoke a few deadline days ago I think, plays a one-two on the right wing, runs on to the return pass and hits a left-footed curler over Hugo Lloris and it sails into the far corner.

As good a finisher as any current player.

Why ?
Because, Id like to think having seen whats on offer this season, we'll have had a much better season than last season and, he might want to come and join a winning attractive side in the top half of the premier league
innocent enough thought process - surely to god ?

Quite incredible how ignorant a lot of English fans are of other leagues. No player in world football would see Stoke as a sidestep never mind an upgrade to Dortmund.

err yep
you never know though
the shopping might be better up Hanley than in Dortmund
and these Ukranain players wags do love their shopping trips
oh --- and our wages might actually be :- higher
PS sometimes - some of you put your football 'anoraks' on, far too easily

Thinking on
maybe such questioning betrays some kind of deeply ingrained and embedded inferiority complex too ?
Stoke City is the 29th richest football club in world football
right now
Something Stoke on Trent should be very proud of and eager to promote
eager to say - we're as good as - ANYBODY !
rather than - 'we know our place'

Plus their president wouldn't sell to little old Stoke. It was an ambitious move that clearly very nearly came off.

Kane is a world class player. As good a finisher as any current player. You can tell he's world class because England won't play to his strengths and just shoehorn him in

Stoke City is the 29th richest football club in world football right now Something Stoke on Trent should be very proud of and eager to promote eager to say - we're as good as - ANYBODY ! rather than - 'we know our place' BUT no chance of winning the league - Dortmund do have no chance of Champions League football - Dortmund are there. Its not all about MONEY. Yarmo will be on a pretty wedge at Dortmund and I hope (for the sake of football in general) he would like to try and win something. IF we ever sneaked into Champions League by having an amazing season Im sure Hughes would be able to attract the top talent. At the moment we look stuck in mid-table which is still decent for a club of our size.

Kane looked a beast last night. Not just scoring 2 goals his all-around play was fantastic.
He's big and strong but also quick across the ground.
BBC asking if he can win the Balon D'Or though is just plain stupid and shows we are heaping too much pressure on him already.
I hope he stays at Spurs for a couple more years which is the best news for England playing alongside Delli Alli, Eric Dier and the core of the England team for years to come.
He's not a Barca or Real Madrid TYPE of player. He's the re-incarnation of Alan Shearer i.e. give him the ball and watch him score.
I get the feeling the media are already pressuring him into moving to a BIGGER club when Im not sure it will necessarily be to his or Englands benefit. Hes scoring 30 goals a season at Spurs and they were close to winning the league the last 2 seasons. WHY DOES HE NEED TO MOVE?
Just because Spurs are not considered a top top club by historical standards. I feel a bit sorry for Spurs and their fans how they are being pigeon-holed.
