On arrival to my seat in the new corner (row 12) I found that I coundnt fit in. I'd either have to sit with my legs on the seat in front, or sit like an idiot with my legs wide apart and obviously intruding on the comfort of those either side. I had to stand in the exit of block 36 for the duration of the match, and was on the point of being possibly ejected at one point. I'm 6ft 1in tall, so I'm not excessively tall. £42 to stand up is a bit of a downer. Has any other Stokie had this bother?

Do you have freakishly long legs on that mid-height frame then or is Row 12 narrower than all the other rows?
I mean you can hardly find a male under 25 these days who is less than 6 feet tall, I can't believe we have built a whole new stand where no one can fit in it would be crazy.
Is there not an option 3 which is neither sit legs akimbo nor hooked over the seat in front rather allow them to fall at a 30 degree diagonal angle either to left or right?

I genuinely couldn't fit in with two people sat either side of me. I've never had this problem before at Stoke, nor at places like Belle Vue Speedway and Burton Albion where I regularly attend. Will be back in the South Stand from now on

I've noticed the seats elsewhere in the ground seem a little tighter this season. I've had the same seat for 3 seasons now, and this time round there's barely any room at all. My knees are constantly touching the seat in front and there's no room at all either side. I wonder if, when replacing the seats, they squeezed a few more in?

They haven't fitted any more in but the leg room in the new seats is an inch or so less than it was in the old seats which have now been removed. At my height (5ft 8ins) it doesn't bother me but I can quite believe that 6ft plus fans find it a bit tight. PS - moving to safe standing rail seats will solve this problem!

I'm only 5'10" or so, so I can't imagine what it's like for 6'+. I guess it's something to do with the new disabled bays?

I think the problem is that the seat bases are a little bit deeper than the ones they replaced.

I think the problem is that the seat bases are a little bit deeper than the ones they replaced. That is probably the reason.

The back rests of the new seats are slightly angled backwards for more comfort, the down side isthat it reduces leg room, I'm only 5'10 near had a problem, but things are a little more snug than previously.

I'm 6'5 and have to splay my legs apart all the time. My friend Trevor is 5ft 9 and he does this. I often think that in his mind he really does think he is 6ft 5.

I sit on row 10 in block 23, my mate sits on row 12 - the first row down as you come out of the exit. At the cup game we noticed that there is considerably less room in row 12 than there is in the rest of rows in the block. There is less room in the new seats everywhere due to the backs of the seats angled further back, and this is why I believe the seats in row 12 near the exits have had to be placed further forward, as the backs of the seats are against the disabled bays and safety barriers.
At 6ft it's not to bad for me as I have an aisle seat on row 10. I'm not sure I could sit in row 12 at all though.
One other thing I have noticed, as I sit on an aisle seat I'm always having to stand to let people past, this doesn't bother me, but this season there is considerably less room when the seat is in the standing position as it's set a good few inches away from backrest.

There's definitely less room with the new seats.

The size of the new seats have a larger seat so Pepole with big fat arses can sit down, problem the gap to the seat in front is narrower.

Haha, I won't deny that I'm not a small person, but I've actually lost quite a bit of weight recently, and it still feels way closer together than the last few seasons.
