Because the English managers are weak as fuck! This weak media ran fuckwits. To be honest, the majority of the media are stating that Hart shouldn't be number 1

Was gutted when we lost Bego, Butland is considerably better though. We basically sold Begovic to Chelsea's substitutes' bench. The fact that he's now at Bournemouth and Jack Butland is without doubt England's best goalkeeper is all you need to know. It will be disappointing to see him leave but he'll be at a top club within the next two years...and he'll be their first choice.

The Hart and Butland situation reminds me of the Spain goalkeeping situation a few years ago. Casillas was clearly past his prime, and De Gea was clearly better, but Casillas was considered undroppable.

He's not got the bollocks to drop Joe. I love Joe, but Jack's form should mean he is number 1. Never easy dropping a big name, but anyone who follows England9Stokke fan or otherwise) would think more of him if i he had the bollocks to do it

I fear the very worst come January, especially with Mignolet at Liverpool being such a huge liability, Jack would surely be high on Flopp's radar, and Jack would tick all of their boxes, young, English, available for Champs Lge, ( If they are still in it ), if not January, then surely next summer could see the lad get his well deserved big move, and if the right sized cheque were to be waved about, then I am sure we'd very reluctantly sell...

A toughie for you,
Come January, Chelsea come knocking, they want Butland as Real Madrid want their keeper because they can't get De Gea from Man Utd. Chelsea put Zouma in the offer, would you take it?
Butland's happy with us and he's got Englands No.1 jersey, we don't need the money, Zouma wants to come but Chelsea won't sell unless Butland is in the deal.

Apparently Hart having 1 good game against Slovenia a year ago means he doesn't deserve to get dropped.. sound logic when he's been shit for every other game right?

I won't be January but it will 100% be the summer. I just hope we're able to give the lad a send off, he's been a breathe of fresh air and has saved us a hell of a lot of points along the way. I'd feel bad if we delayed his rise to the very very top. But we are going to get one hell of a check for him.

Pickford and Butland are both miles above Hart - and I think on current form they may both actually be better than Hart has ever been in his career. For me, Butland's clear leadership qualities should make him England's #1 - But I think Pickford is a lot closer to him than most on this board want to admit.
De Gea is better than both - though Jack is closing the gap.

Personally, I wouldn't - and I'm not convinced Zouma would want to anyway. His skill level and attitude warrant him being in a regular CL side I feel. Very, very difficult to replace Jack IMO, I genuinely don't know where we'd find a replacement for him right now - and it's not like the back line is in such a shocking state that we're desperate for Zouma *Edit - with any luck Chelsea will go after Pickford anyway, as Hughes and Co will put a not for sale on Jack - simples 😉

Because the media don't recognise him / us. Thing is everything I've seen or heard in the media lately has been calling for Butland (or Pickford) to replace Hart. All of them. I actually think there has been so much clamour for Hart to be dropped that Southgate has decided to stick with Hart so as NOT to be seen as being in thrall of the media. Which of course is the wrong decision.

Was gutted when we lost Bego, Butland is considerably better though. And after seeing Bego's positioning for Lacazette's goal yesterday, I can't help but feel his move to Chelsea was the worst footballing decision he's ever made. He seems to have lost that spark he had with us. There's no way he gets that wrong in his last couple of seasons with us, but years of sitting on the bench have taken their toll on what was a wonderful keeper.

Jack is the best English keeper by some distance. Southgate is a useless ugly qunt. De Geary now probably the best in the world and was very impressed by the way he came out at the end, shook our players hands and applauded all of the crowd. A lot more class than his manager.

It is simply because he plays for Stoke. If you play for certain clubs the default is that you don't get picked. You have to be so exceptional and even then it will be a one off appeasement. It's embarrassing. If he played just one game for The Shit he would be in. If he played for The Arse, Spurs, Chelsea he would be in. Then there the odd ones like Southampton and West Ham, you can be average for them even when they're doing fairly shit and you'll get in. When Leicester won the PL how many of their players got in and even then it was because people were asking questions why starring for the best team in he country can't get in the side. It's like an old boys club. When Rashford came on as a sub for ManU he was fast-tracked in. It's as biased as fuck. Then the managers of these clubs in the 'special club' moan about international games and don't want their players in those games. Take that obnoxious Arsenal turd who was injured for a year and then before he'd played a game he was in at e.g. Drinkwater's expense after Drinkwater was a key part of that Leicester season. It's unfair. However what happened when Butland last played for England. We lost him for a season and there was lots of knicker wetting from our fair-weather fans. I'd rather he didn't play for that shower of shite England, it will end up costing us like last time and you only need Hart to fluke a penalty save and he'll be straight back in.

The brutal truth is that he plays for Stoke. If he played for Spurs or Liverpool there would be
a) A National outcry at the idiocy of the situation
or more likely
b) He'd have played the last half doen games and be the estabished number 1

To be perfectly honest with my selfish Stoke hat on I'd rather Southgate continued his jellyfish impression until at least May next year. Jack will leave next summer anyway for a Champions League team and will then become automatic no 1, so until then I'd rather he wasn't in the England team running the risk of getting injured.

No coincidence that we look a lot stronger at the back now we have top top keeper between the sticks.
