The Scots have invited 2 teams from Wales and 2 from Ireland to compete in the competition. No surprise that no teams from the English leagues were invited. Good old jocks still carrying that big chip where the English are concerned 😀

They used to be in Llansantffraid and relocated a few years ago didn't they? The New Saints of Oswestry Town & Llansantffraid Football Club, also known as the New Saints or TNS is a full-time-professional Welsh football club representing Llansantffraid-ym-Mechain in Powys, Wales ... Apparently the owner has got plans to build a new "stadium" on disused land actually in Oswestry, they're based in the countryside a few miles out at the moment. I hope it goes ahead, the land was earmarked for retail, a cinema, restaurants etc until the council f**ked it up. It would be nice to have a team back in Oswestry again, I used to go with my Dad in the early 80's to the actual Oswestry Town FC, a proper old school ground made out of corrugated iron. It's a housing estate now. The Champion's League will be coming to Oswestry. LOL

I think they played Liverpool at the Racecourse ground, not sure about Man city. I must admit I don't follow them that closely, if they build a new ground in the town I might go, but let's not forget, they are welsh at the end of the day.

Looks like Oswestry will drop out of their league atm, early days as you say though. Our lot got stuffed off hanley town last night, scored in the 1st minute and made them angry they can get a result against The Bears and 1874 though. Quite a few young lads playing and are getting beat in the air all the time.
