My mum passed away at the start of last year and had 2 sisters - or so I thought.
I had my dad on the phone last night having our daily chat and he chirps up that he recieved a letter from an auntie who lives in somewhere called Cromer.
I know I still have two aunties living in Plaistow and Denmark Hill but never knew about this one in Cromer.
It turns out she was a bit of a rebel and my mums parents disowned her and left to fend for herself. When my mum was alive she never mentioned anything about this mysterious long lost sister of hers
Anyone else ben surprised by relatives they never knew they had?

Not in 'modern times' but go back to the 17th century and there's some real surprises.

Yes, quite a few years ago I discovered I had an aunt and an uncle and a grandma I'd never heard of, something to do with a split at the end of WW2. Family got in touch with one of my parents as the grandma was passing away, I didn't see her, but see the aunt and uncle a couple of times of the year. The aunt had 2 children so Ive got 2 cousins somehwere in the UK I've never met.
