Story going round the Chilean press today that when Alexis met up with his Chilean team-mates this morning, he gleefully told them all he was definitely going to Man City The news was apparently met with applause and a big hug from his new "club mate" Claudio Bravo... He'll be well up for this season with the Gooners then, poor lad. Shouldn't laugh really.......

I assume he is leaving on a free next season then, massive hit on the Arsenal finances - rather than taking the £60m they pay the massive wages of a player who doesn't want to be there and will need to spend at least £60m next summer to replace him. Say £120m worse off not even taking into account wages, and I doubt they will sell many Sanchez shirts this season. What a shame!

Yes, that's why he's only £60 million! I'm aware that's a ridiculous statement but it's the current market lark...

Arsenal 4 pm: make Lemar 92 mil bid 4 15: bid accepted 4 30: Arsenal pull out of deal Lol Obviously a move to try and appease their fans. I bet they were hoping Monaco would take more than 15 minutes to accept the deal, so their ran out of time excuse would have some believability!

Can't they still sell him in January right? Before Summer and make some money? Stupid if they didn't, but Arsenull and a club in shambles atm.

Yeah they could, but equally at that point Sanchez could sign a pre-contract agreement with any club of his choice according to Bosman transfer rules. "With six months or less remaining on an existing contract for players aged 23 or older, they are free to negotiate with other clubs and sign a pre-contract agreement, indicating their ability to move to their intended club on a Bosman transfer when the next transfer window opens." en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_transfer_(association_football)

Like to see Arsenal in a mess, but it's good to see a Club stick it to one of this pampered pansies! Stick the fucker in the reserves would be the icing on the cake.
Player powers gone mad, nice to see one of the tossers not get his own way.

Haha. They really are a shambles - though Sanchez might hit a bit of form towards the end of the season and somehow drag them into the champions just to make sure the big money suiters are still interested, and to cadge maybe another 50k a week from wherever he turns up.

Weirdos im so glad im a stokie

He's been largely useless in Chile's WC qualifier defeat to Paraguay tonight
edit and Literally as I type that he gave the ball away for a third Paraguay goal on the counter

I'd love to be Sanchez's agent in 2018. Imagine having 10% of a players wages / sign on fee who's going to cost the new club nothing in transfer fees who received bids of up to 55 million the year before. The mind boggles. Even the worst negotiator in the world would surely be able to end up set for life.

I'm just enjoying every second of this and Arsenal TV is great entertainment at the moment...hard to stop laughing. He will probably play well until Christmas, secure his big move in Summer 2018 by signing a pre-contract agreement in January and then hopefully drive Arsene wild by just taking the mick in games until the end of he season. An own goal on the 31st March when we play you at the emirates please Alexis I suppose given that they most likely will end up above us in the league anyway we want him to play well and score goals against other teams we are more direct competitors of.

According to the news on TV this morning it's even funnier.... Sanchez' move to Man city was stopped because his replacement Lemar knocked them back as he wanted Champions League football.

Disappointed with this one actually. He would have given Citeh a bigger chance of finishing above the other shower from Manchester! Obsessed, I am!

This isn't quite the same though is it really, his contract is up soon and Arsenal should try and get what they can if he has no intention of signing a new contract.
