Tall good in the air, miles more mobile than Crouch had ever been and everybody keeps telling me how great he is and one dirty bastard I think Zlatan fits the bill rather well. I don't think being more mobile than Crouch is much of a statement either to be honest. He wasted a hell of a lot of chances last year, and easy ones at that. For what he'd cost, and for how much he'd slow down our already unbelievably slow attack, not sure it'd be a winner. That said, if we signed Zlatan, i'd literally shit myself with excitement. Was never discussing signing him just talking about his attributes.

We don't play the type of football. We hardly ever cross the ball and we have no one that's particularly good at it. Yeah its quite difficult to explain what we do do actually we don't cross, we don't play through balls, we don't go over the top for a speedster. Its quite scary, how the fuck do we ever score?

Rondon would be great at bringing others into play As would diouf. For some reason and I can't explain it (as that's how he played himself!!) hughes doesn't like this sort of player Don't go down that road some awkward fucker like me will ask you what sort of forward he does like then you'll be flummoxed. Ones that drift about like empty crisp packets on a gentle breeze would be my stab at it. "I don't want to get on his back...." but. Come on Al you're winding yourself up mate, you can think a little deeper than that mate. Inverted wingers as default strikers, False9's and that. We'll have goals from everywhere this year.

I'm trying not to think about it at all. I'm pretty sure either buying a striker and actually playing him and playing to his strengths or showing faith in one of those we have apart from you know who won't have a lot to do with it though.

Agree about not thinking about it. Or at least wiping the slate clean for this season and see what transpires. Upping the quality a notch throughout the squad, should create more threat up top. Optimistic Potter. *edit... I've been trapped in yer quote bubble.

Robert Huth can play up front remember!! That would be fun to watch, well for the time he's on the pitch before getting sent off. That would be Mitrovic's downfall, too. He's borderline mental. Would love a certifiable lunatic! Everyone thinks we're dirty anyway. Be good to live up to our reputation.

Llorente is exactly the type I mean. How did Swansea get him? They found him in a brochure called The Huge Book of Big Nasty Bastards. My favourite football book.

Aboubakar from Porto would be ideal. He ticks all the boxes Is he IS or al qaeda? Right on brother! I'm still pissed off about 2008, when we put premier league survival over fan safety and signed the fundamentalist yet talismanic Abdoulaye Faye from Boko Haram. Political correctness gone mad...
