The mans a k###. The worse season and manager we have had this century. I am not a fan of his Definitely a terrible season but goals galore both ends and his last games was a 5-1 win away at Brighton. Bonkers! Give me a season like that over a Binary Pulis season anyday.

We were consistently inconsistent. I remember being excited at getting players like kopteff, siggurdsson, junior. Christ! We are lucky now.

Icekand has a very small population....
Eidur Gudjonsen played in the same national side as his dad...
Bjarni was Gudjon's son and I think there was at least one other sibling in the English league at some point...
Anyone know if Hannes Siggurdsson is related to Gylffi?

I think he was the only Stoke manager who I have ever seen who left the media speechless.
"Tell us something we don't know about you." "I'm not really a man."

No because the surname relates to their dad i.e. he literally Siggurd's son,not a family name like we have. Gudjon has six sons the elder three all played, two for Stoke & Joey Gudjon played for Burnley. No idea about the younger three

Didn't we win ten away games that season or is my memory playing tricks on me Might have been more. We lost as many at home though. Hardly any draws. Big wins and heavy defeats. The exact opposite of the Binary season the year before only to finish almost exactly the same. I know which season I preferred watching.

I did miss half the binary season working abroad so may be that's a blessing. Boskamp season at home the long drive home was generally in bad mood and only did a few away trips. I just felt the club was falling apart (again) and he made us a joke and even the George Eastam and Brian Little years came close.

Icelandics have patronymic surnames, with the son's surname taken from the father's first name. Siggurd is quite a common first name in Icleand, so there will be lots of Siggurdssons.

It was highly entertaining. Great away from, dreadful home form. Crazy antics going on. Remember the row over the note passing at Coventry (another away win). Oh and Sammy Bangoura - the best striker we've had for ages.
