I wonder what sort of jizzfest we'd be suffering now if Brighton we're in the position Huddersfield are? Poor old Huddersfield are suffering a bit from 'little old Stoke' syndrome. It's nice to see the bottom five populated with 4 southern media darlings and the deluded ones. Long may it continue.

Totally. Huddersfield defying all those so-called experts predictions is nice.

Spent a lot of money too. Whatever happens to them this season, at least they're here to give it a go, that's for sure.
But they've had decent coverage, haven't they? I certainly wouldn't expect Brighton to get any more than Huddersfield have anyway. (It's also waaaay too early to be getting carried away with league placings).

Considering this thread is titled 'Brighton' I feel this is the perfect opportunity to say they've dropped one monumental bollock by spunking millions on a shit goalkeeper (Ryan). For years he's been at best "dodgy" and he's already made poor mistakes for them.. anyway, they don't look to have much about them.

Brighton are full of average players, championship players. I'd have 2 possibly 3 from them and even then they wouldn't start for us. Lewis Dunk, Anthony Knockaert and possibly Solly March.
I try to look at it as a blank approach not considering the names of clubs, their history, their stadium etc but Huddersfield for me have the best opportunity of staying up. Brought good players in large quantity, good team spirit, good manager who has a plan and an identity for his team, I said this in another thread before their 2 wins. Newcastle have brought alright, obviously got a good manager. But I'd be worried if I was a Brighton fan.

I started a thread called 'Huddersfield' yesterday evening, it was both erudite and amusing in equal measure, it was bubbling along quite nicely until Admin simply 'smoked' it in another wild moment of over-zealous administration so good luck with this one !

I must admit. The bottom of the table right now looks like visual chocolate tbh. Three uber media lovey teams, looking absolute dog shit. Bournemouth too. Gary and his buddies must be crying inside. The BBC recently did a documentary on LGBT in football and Brighton were obviously one of the teams they followed. You can tell this was meant to be their season. 2 games in, they're looking like quality relegation material. Bad luck Beebs.

Didn't Hull win their first 2 games last season? Didn't work out too well for them.

I think all three promoted teams will struggle - Huddersfield have played a Palace side that looked relegation material last season and likely strugglers Newcastle - where they both looked like Championship sides. Brighton have played Manchester City and a revitalised Leicester and look well out of their depth but to be fair they need to play a bottom half team to really assess where they stand, Newcastle's other game was last years runners up, Spurs - where as per Brighton they were outplayed.
It's going to take one of the more established teams having a mare - and to be honest there are few candidates (Bournemouth, Swansea, Crystal Palace) to bail them out. And despite a pretty startling first game I don't think Burnley have pushed on enough to be clear of trouble.

I was surprised that Knockaert started on the bench. I thought he was their best player.
Or has he been carrying an injury?
