That new corner certainly helped acoustics but it was the attitude of the new boys on the pitch that really got things going

Always said it's a two way thing. Before the teams came out there we a buzz. Then when fans see the lads putting a shift in the fans always lift it a notch. Brilliant from everyone today

The Delilah before the game certainly helped.
I think Hughes knew he was under pressure which is why we came flying out to try and 'win the crowd back' it certainly worked.
I just hope we play with that level of intensity all season, it'll certainly be more enjoyable to watch and we'll win more then we lose.
Felt like the old days. Glad to have it back.

Sat in the new corner today with my son really great atmosphere, south stand and corner were in good voice, Delilah at the start was good idea, players gave their all and the crowd responded And we beat the arse and wound Wenger up in the process. First game for quite a while I've really enjoyed Good football, good atmosphere, love it.

Noticed when Diouf was down injured it was the crowd who forced the Arse player to kick the ball out!

great sound on the box I'm glad it transferred to the telly it was mint. The Diouf and Erik injuries brought out a proper cauldron. Nice to see us being such horrible, biased cunts. A real swell of Potter Pride tonight. Cheeers.

I thought that. Perhaps 29500 was tickets sold including season ticket holders on holiday?

A combination of everything really. The unexpected Delilah, the fresh looking ground with an expanded capacity, the first game of the season, a sense of unity in the crowd after a season of false starts, a team that came out the gates flying, the opposition, the fucking terrible officiating at times, the slick goal, the backs against the wall.
Awesome.

Watched the game in a bar full of Gooners. At least 100 of them going bonkers when Eric was down, and they were still drowned out by the noise of the Stoke fans from the TV.
Fabulous afternoon. Three Stokie's in a bar full of Gooner's and taunting them from start to finish. Wankers.

After Eric got chopped down in the box with 10mins left, things went up top notch and there was simply no way back- everyone was united (certainly in block 10) Arse went down two gears and we saw it out comfortably. I was totally confident they would not nick a last minute goal. Atmosphere like that will push us on big time, the filled corner is a smart move.

Was in the same bar when they smashed us at home last season. So today was extra special. Nothing more satisfying than smashing the Gooners. Back to business as usual.
