Come across this remember seeing it years ago. As much as I hated the greasy dago I still think he's the best footballer I've seen in my life time. Wish more warm ups were like this though showing how at ease and in control of a football some of them are.

Anyone from our era must surely rank Maradona as the greatest. I've never seen a player as good before or since.

Messi and Ronaldo contenders but otherwise it's Maradona. As close as it gets to winning a world cup on your own.

What he did with Napoli was the same males you wonder how good he could have been if he had put the application of say Cristiano ronaldo who I think is a superb footballer but doesn't seem quite as natural as maradona, by that I mean that ronaldo has spent hour after hour in the gym to wring that last ounce of pace, spring and stamina out of himself to up his game

How's it rubbish it's opinion It was meant in an Eric Morecambe way when he listened to Andre Previn playing the piano. I can't do linky things! Maradona was obviously up there with the best.

I recall the story of his first training session at Napoli when he flicked the ball up and volleyed it in to the air. Stood there and volleyed it again when it came down and repeated this several times. The other players just stood open mouthed. This may sound easy but believe me it's virtually impossible.

I read of him that he had the greatest power steering in sport, it always stuck with me, and he did I read Gary Lineker's comments about watching Maradona warm up before a game: he repeatedly volleyed the ball 30 metres into the air, never having to move off the spot, over and over again.Nobody else could manage more than 3 on the trot. Some of the tackles he faced in Domestic football were borderline ABH.I've seen footage of him chasing the ball on his hands and knees after being scythed down, such was his force of will. He always seemed to play with a controlled rage, which manifested itself in moments of genuine sublimity when good or mere cheating when bad. Worshipped like a God in Naples, absolutely majestic in '86.

An extremely gifted footballer and possibly the best ever but I think that to be judged as a great player requires another level not just being judged on their achievements and abilities also how they conduct themselves and alas Maradona is for me a little short in this area.

El Fenomeno was the best all round footballer ever. Fact. Was fast, strong, one of the best dribblers, lethal finisher, good work rate. Plagued by injuries, could've been so much better than he was and he was already making world class defenders look like children.
