Or at least Tony Cascarino does in his column.

We will be if we don't make a couple of key signings.
I think we will bring those players in.
Even if things are looking dodgy after a couple of months, I think we will jettison Hughes and bring in a manager who specialises in saving clubs in trouble.
Consequently I have no real fears of relegation.

I fear he will be out of the starting 11 within a couple of weeks. And you are right, it could lead to the demise of Hughes. Let's hope we bring in an effective goalscorer before the end of the month.

I still believe that the start is vital this season even though the fixtures look very difficult. We need a good start to get all the fans on board imo because otherwise for me the pressure will come on Hughes quite quickly.

We won't start a game as favourites until Bournemouth at home which is game 9. I think the key is to still be at least afloat going in to November. If we're not things could unravel very quickly.

I think the pressure has shifted somewhat from Hughes onto those who hold the purse strings and generally run the place. Anyone can see that as things stand he isn't being given a fighting chance.

Being totally honest I was a bit worried about this season.
But the more I hear the likes of Merson and Cascarino predicting our demise, the less worried I am.

It's his player who he chased for a few windows and seems to have no plan how to get the best out of him so I think that needs to change or he will come under huge pressure

Obviously a flying start would be brilliant. BUT If we still are a team that has a slow/bad start, then a tough few early fixtures will suit us down to the ground. Once we get going, we have the easier matches ahead of us.

Mind you I also don't think the owners will be particularly jumpy - they take a pride in playing the 'long game' especially as it is built around their own philosophy of self-sufficiency.

The truth is that the Pundits very rarely get anything right - the bookies have us in the nether regions but not actually in the bottom 3- they don't lose much money ( other than when Leicester are involved)! I think we will survive but to be comfortable and to be a top half team we need Berahino to be a 10 -14 goal striker; we just don't play the game that enables him to do that ( my humble opinion).
