Knew two brothers at work, one was nicknamed Donkey and had a bit of a stammer. If ever you called him Donkey to his face he would scowel demanding who had told you to call him Donkey? Everybody knew him and his brother hated each other, so would tell him that his brother had said to call him Donkey. His reply every time was.............."Well heehaw, heehaw, heehaw to know better". I'll get me coat.

At high school we had a Mrs and Mrs Dick, and a Geography teacher called Richard Head seems common. during my 2 years at Fenton 6th form around 2002 the assistant head teacher or whatever title they gave (dean?) was also Richard head. perhaps we are all referring to the same unfortunate bugger!

It is indeed the same guy. He left Berry Hill and went to Fenton in about 94 I think

The Mr Dick at Berryhill when I was there in the 70s had the first name Alistair, so on his classroom door was Mr A Dick.

He was still there when I left in 2010! I'm pretty sure he's still there now, I'll have to ask my sister. A very nice man, by all accounts.

Seems there's a lot of it about!
There was a Richard Seaman at Express Dairies in Thornbury when I worked there about 30 years ago. They actually did call for Dick Seaman on the tannoy. You'd get arrested for that these days!
