Worryingly most of the league would of got something today, we just can't create. Maxim looked bright. No poor performances, but none outstanding, allen motm for me. No they wouldn't. You're simply saying that so then it's easy to stay negative and say everything about Hughes is wank.

Here's some a numbers for you Mr scholes bank 18 million your number from the front of a team that doesn't score , spend nothiing , net result shots ion target today ZER0 bbc number .
result totally deserved one team showed positive action this summer despite losing its best player the other sat smugly by , best chance in the first six games gone begging because of a totally imbecilic approach to the summer .
Berahino by the way hasnt scored for two years but is our main man abjectlly pathetic example of a bankrupt transfernpolicy expect to get ripped a new one next week and again at wba and again totally self inflicted , had one of my 25 points prediction for today and saw nothing to suggest we will better that .
be very interesting to see which of the top players we will invest in and persuade to come to a rock bottom team that are attracting bids for its better players and are cited by many in the media as lsvking ambition .
The first day of misery of a. Season of abject misery not one fucking shot against A team with 6 debutants .
too close here's a final number you just lost £100m revenue stream unless you invest substantially in the next 20 days but I seriously doubt your capability or inclination to do do .

Crouch unsettled the opposition for 5 minutes then it's back to 'as you were'. We need to work out a proper front two and pronto. Choupo and Saido Choupo and Joselu Shaq and Saido Joselu and Saido Are the combinations for me. Although I can't remember Sobhi and Saido being on the same pitch much together. 3-5-2 Zouma Ryan BMI Diouf Cameron Fletcher Allen Choupo Shaqiri Berahino 3-4-1-2 Zouma Ryan BMI Diouf Gcam Fletch Sobhi Shaq Jos Choupo

Didn't deserve to lose no matter what the doom monger say. Abit toothless at the top end of the pitch, much better when crouch and moting came on. We will have a good season Don't agree - we deserved to lose because we carried no goal threat whatsoever

I would be very pleased to hear a report from a supporter who went to the game rather than a mixture of mobile phone viewers . Streaming only follows the ball.

Look at the energy he provided in the final third when he came on, he'd be totally hamstrung given that role.

The biggest problem we had today was that in a 343 our front 3 were way to lightweight. Shaqiri is class and we need to build the team around him but Bojan and Berahino wont work because they just don't have the physical presence to hold the ball up and bring others into the game. I'm hoping that with a weeks training Eric can start next week as in the time he was on his strength immediately caused problems. Put him in the 3 with Shaq and a good target man and we'll cause problems and score goals.

You're simply saying that so then it's easy to stay negative and say everything about Hughes is wank. That was a poor everton performance and we werent able to test them, bar a 93rd minute effort, last season we salvaged a measly 3 pts from losing positions which says a lot about his in game management and decisions, as daft as it is, burnley, huddersfield, west brom are already 3 pts clear of us.

Zouma looked a beast, Ryan looked like had got some confidence back. Fletcher impressive, shaq impressive, Allen fighting, diuof battling, berahino looked a bit lost but you can tell he's fit now. Choupa looking composed and positive. Overall some positives and Bruno to come in to further strengthen us. Work needed but a decent base. And how many on here were expecting a 4 goal drubbing?

Lot of positives today and a bit unlucky to not at least get a point. Thought we were the better team for most of the game, but we didn't look dangerous before Bojan and Berahino were replaced by Chapuo and Crouchy. This team is way too good to end up in a relegation battle, as many has predicted, but despite Berahino's effort I'd rather start with Crouch on top.

I expected us to have more than two shots all match and them to be more dominant there are positives like you've pointed out but it is also the same old shit. Nobody shoots, no runs, no dribbling at players instead we try to pass it in or walk it in and it never works.

Why is it I don't look forward to the football season starting anymore?
One reason is that without fail under Hughes we lose every first match of the season, and I always feel pissed off and disappointed as I do now.
Its grim in my world, we have a tough fixture list and I'm pissed off already. One game in.
I'm a carer for my dad who benefits from going. But even though I have been going for 33 years now and I'm a true Stokie and always will be, I don't think I would be going this season if my dad didn't want to.
I'm just sick and tired of managers having the inability to switch things round and play their favourites without considering current form.
Joselu should have started today in my view. A player who scores four goals in pre season deserves a start. It would have shaken things up and Berahino would have to respond.
Its not fucking rocket science, but it doesn't seem to click ever. Pulis another recent example of watching a coach sticking with the same system and not exploring obvious options. Is it just Stoke?
Feeling fed up and tired after day fucking one.

1.0 at Everton isnt that bad given that theyhave spent a fortune however the one thing that concerns me is that Berahino hasnt looked like scoring since we bought him and that may prove to be a nail in a few coffins. At leastChelsea are below us 😏

Pieters wank?? Talk about a boo boy fuck me. He is not and never will be a wing back, to start with most of his crosses are awful. He played the cross of the game. Any, and I mean any decent Premier league striker would have buried the ball he put in second half. Overall I thought we looked OK and could have got a draw. We were largely comfortable in defence and kept the ball OK. in two thirds of the pitch we looked like an OK Premier League team. Upfront we had nothing. No target. No threat. No positive movement. Nothing. We looked much better with a 37 year old bean pole with zero pace, than we did with the manager´s number 1 striker. Zouma looked good (I hope Chelsea can´t recall him early) Shaq should be told to shoot at every opportunity; he turned down a few from distance today. Fletcher was assured. I would like to see Ramadan. Maybe play him wide and get Mame through the middle. We have more effective options upfront than the one we are currently using.

Today's game proved what most of us already knew. We have not upgraded in any of the pitch (except CB). We ended the match with Crouch up front (God bless him), two free transfer players and a loanee. Admittedly, those three did look promising but that's hardly an investment in the future.

Went today and we looked fitter than usual and solid defence and Fletcher and Allen did well . Then comes the problem . Everton were there for the taking today but our front 3 were poor Shaq marginally the best Bojan average and Berahino non existent . We looked better as soon as Crouch came on but it was at last 10 mins too late . Where the goals are coming from is the problem
