Worse Everton side ever. They are there for the taking but as usual looks like we are gonna get nowt. Need attacking options. Can't believe joselu isn't even on the bench. He's om paternity leave mate. Didn't know that. Cheers

Good performance and deserved at least a point. Choupo Moting did more in 20 mins than Betahino has done in 14 matches.

Decent performance but we miss a good striker and support. I don't think it's been a decent performance to be honest I thought it was a steady decent performance, better than I expected and if it were for a couple of balls dropping our way or some of the decisions not being awarded (some dodgy calls by the ref there) we would have snatched a draw and was the least we deserved . I thought we were more of a goal threat than Everton and even when they broke Zouma and Shawcross (who seemed much more resilient today) were there to clean up.

We did ok but it really was like last season just carried over into this We desperately need a striker or we are in deep shit We need a midfielder to dribble through and contest their midfielders, no sense in another striker if we don't take shots from the center of the pitch until the 92nd minute each week. We literally had no control in the middle the entire match it was all wide shit with no pace.

Didn't deserve to lose no matter what the doom monger say. Abit toothless at the top end of the pitch, much better when crouch and moting came on. We will have a good season

Berahino is a worry. We were ok today, but he was toss. He is totally shite! He is`t even good enough for a Championship team. One of our best paid players (If not the best)

New left back
A solid, solid striker
And a centre midfielder
Get those 3 and we're fine

Unlucky that more than kept them at bay nothing in the game really 'worldy save' at the end gives them the points just need a cutting edge Berahino -- oh dear ! --- poor lads just lost -- completely lost out there You can't really call us unlucky when our first shot target came in the 94th minute.

So what have we learned today? -Hughes is still a fucking imbecile that hasn't got a clue how to swap this garbage system he originally bought in. - Pieters is still. Fucking. Wank. -Choppo looks a decent prospect. Much more of a physical prrsence than the wank pot that came before him. Pieters wank?? Talk about a boo boy fuck me. He got fucking rings run round him man. Shite.

Deserved a point I thought, bad time to play Everton with the Rooney love in etc. The problems that blighted us last season still need addressing though.

Apart from choupo we showed no threat.
Again, no real game plan and for me Hughes is already under pressure

We need to get Bojan berahino and imbula out And two strikers and a midfielder in before the transfer window closes
We have to bank a loss and move on
When you have players who are ineffective and ineffective and ineffective, game after game after game you have to accept they are not good enough and move on.
If only to give their team mates a break

Berahino easily the worst player out there. Back 3 were pretty great. Everton only had one good chance all game and scored. Their goalie came up big at the end, and we go home without a point. Tough one, but not the end of the world.

I don't think it's been a decent performance to be honest Really? Away from home and stifling an Everton side that should be free scoring. I just felt we created hardly anything and just lumped balls in the box.

We lost and I hate losing but for an opening away game that was a vast improvement on last season
Zouma, Moting and Fletcher with rejuvinated Shaq and Allen. We looked more solid except for a stupid lapse.
Way more confident about this season now.Hopefully more strengthening to come. Need replacement for Pieters, not awing back.

We should be shooting more regularly and putting teams under pressure. We diddle on the ball and come away with nothing far too often. At least we are not doddling on the ball like last season.

Berahino as a lone striker isn't the answer.
Crouch isn't the answer.
Next game let's try Choupo and Saido.

The positives: Zouma, Fletcher, Choupo The negatives: Berahino, Allen
Bruno comes in, Geoff to the middle, just need a proper striker (Joselu?)
Coatesy needs to wave the dong really.
Disappointing but nowhere near as bad as some are making out...

There's so e positives there but it's largely the same as last season with this fuckwit of a manager. Sandpit stage left with a nice spot to bury thee head. Fletcher bought more creativity in that than Whelan did in the last 8 years. Very promising.

Unlucky that more than kept them at bay nothing in the game really Zouma is awesome !!!!!!! 'worldy save' at the end gives them the points just need a cutting edge Berahino -- oh dear ! --- poor lads just lost -- completely lost out there No wonder Berahino is lost, alone up front, play him with another striker Hughes, or don't fucking play him at all.

Berahino is a worry. We were ok today, but he was toss.[b/quote] Correction... He was ineffective in todays game and the previous one, and the one before that and the one before that etc etc etc Which is clearly because he's not good enough

Just to add that I don't think that 3-4-3 works with the personnel we have - midfield overrun at times and Berahino looked lost. Pieters looks just like last season just ended
Fletcher played well, Zouma very well and impressed with Choupo so definitely some positives but I just don't see what our shape is and we look so unlikely to score it's unbelievable
