Seen a few people say Watford will go down. Why I don't know. They've got a good team and a decent manager.

11.5m is the fee I've seen which surprised me given that Burnley paid 12m for him.

Don't think it's that crazy given today's prices

He's in his last year of his contract isnt he? is he that much better than Deeney?
I like him, very quick, very strong, can clearly finish. If a club went down would guarantee 20 goals in the champ.

If we'd paid 9 Million for a striker, who went on to score 23 goals firing us to promotion. Then manages to bag 10 goals in his 1st season in the Prem, English and just coming into his prime years how much would you want us to ask for in the current mad financial market ? It's probably an alright valuation, not crazy and not cheap either.

Nearly £50m for Keane and Gray, not bad business at all by Burnley.

Nearly £50m for Keane and Gray, not bad business at all by Burnley. When you look at it like that it seems like great business. The £30m for Keane I feel is the best part of it though, as I rate Gray as a nearly £20m player in today's market as goals are difficult to replace.

As long as we aren't paying it.......I hope! I would love him at Stoke - He is Fulleresque in his ability to conjure up a goal from nothing with little or no decent service I think you are bonkers if you think that isn't a decent bit of business by Watford and that you are drinking the'we should be thankful just to be in the Premier League' Oatcake Kool-Aid

If we'd have sold 50M worth of talent and replaced them with Jon Walters at 33 and Phil Bardsley at 31 this place would be in meltdown.
We've replaced Arnautovic with a player who had a better record than him in Germany, for free with 25M about to be invested in the rest of the side and we're being unambitious?

You can never have enough strikers, particularly those who strike. . . . . if you get my drift.

The question for me is, is he better than Berahino?
If the answer is yes (which I think it probably is) then a rival of ours has just strengthened and taken a step closer/step past us.
Yet some seem to deride them for doing so?
Crazy.

I'm struggling to be shocked by transfer fees anymore.
PSG's deal for Neymar has resulted in Dortmund valuing Ousmane Dembele at £135m knowing that there's a vacuum at Barcelona.
Bog standard, ordinary footballers are now £25m+
Puddled but inevitable...

Yet some seem to deride them for doing so? Crazy. I like Gray but he is a worker, with pace, and a good finisher. However if we can get berahino firing and confident, and some service, he is potentially top class, England international material. He is a step up. The secret is getting him confident and fit. His fitness seems ok, I'm hoping he will get some service and get off the mark against Everton, then we will see what a special player we have

But surely Burnley are weaker? Yeah, they definitely were. I still think Watford are a poor side. Wouldn't swap their squad for ours. Burnley in the shit unless they replace Keane and Gray. Promoted sides all look weak too.
