Choupo likes to be referred to as Maxim rather than Eric! Discussed the impact of rising costs of players, Arnie first player sold that has provided a good profit Butland back to full fitness, brief account of why the injury took so long to repair, yes believes he is Englands number one Mentioned possibility of further signings and expressed his frustration when things stall / break down Its now a worldwide market which means clubs will pay more to get the very top players who want to play in the Premiership More difficult for young talent to break through into first teams as a result No longer the situation if you are good enough, you'll play - so much more at stake re money then managers less likely to take risks playing them Geoff Shreeve asked about "Indi Martins" MH thinks he's on his way and it should be finalised today Acknowledged the roles played by Whelan, Walters and Bardsley, need to maintain that determined type of player - full of praise for Darren Fletcher - good leadership skills Hoping to return to being a top 10 side, last year disappointing,

Surprised they found time to mention us as well as 75% of the rest of the premiership whilst spending the whole show talking about 5 clubs Was it a 20 second snippet ?

The interview with Fletcher the other day was classic . It lasted 10 minutes of which 7 was spent discussing Man Utd, a 30 second interlude acknowledging the fact he now plays for us and then rounded off with 2 1/2 mins about West Ham now that Arnie had gone there. Our club really is pointless as far as the national media is concerned!

No longer the situation if you are good enough, you'll play - so much more at stake re money then managers less likely to take risks playing themGeoff Shreeve asked about "Indi Martins" MH thinks he's on his way and it should be finalised today Acknowledged the roles played by Whelan, Walters and Bardsley, need to maintain that determined type of player - full of praise for Darren Fletcher - good leadership skills Hoping to return to being a top 10 side, last year disappointing, Worrying from Hughes re: young players. I dont see Spurs, Everton, Man United having a problem bringing through Youth players. Imagine if you are Verlinden/Ngoy/Edwards and hearing that from your club manager. Might as well start looking for another club

He's right and he's not saying he won't use them but it's a huge gamble to play a kid rather than an established player given the ridiculous amounts of money in the league. I suppose it's a debate for the end of the season once we know how much game time they've had.

I think that was a veiled warning that he will play Saido for 20 games over an Ngoy in reality. Can't blame him as he nailed his colours to that mast last season, however if we are bottom after 10 games and Saido hasn't scored he'll have a decision to make as will PC.

Our club really is pointless as far as the national media is concerned! SSN and Talk Sport are becoming unbearable to watch or listen too and indeed I stopped listening to TS many months ago for that very reason ...they are interested in nothing else They could be talking about horse racing, interviewing the jockey and it's gets round to asking him about how he thinks Chelsea will fayre this season

Agreed. This is why I hate the big clubs. The f'ing media are only interested in them. It gets right on my bloody wick! Come on Stoke City. Let's bloody one or two noses again! As you all know, I'm well chuffed that f'ing shower cannot parade the Champions Cup around before their first home game as well. There's more of the cnuts parading round Warrington in their horrible shirts!

I've noticed with alan brazil, when Pulis was there he always talked highly of Stoke. Since Hughes has come in, he has little digs here and there. Always wondered if ever they didn't get on. Were they both at Man utd at the same time? Edit: Just watched the clip! Yes they did play together back then. Just get the feeling there was a bad feeling, on Alan's part anyway. Hardly any praise like he used to do.

I'll keep saying it until I'm blue in the face. Hughes will not get sacked. Anyone who thinks otherwise does not understand Peter Coates.

The interview I heard with Hughes he was talking about it being an advantage for clubs like us in that we have a pathway for youngsters to find there way into the first team if they are good enough. Mention specifically of how we managed to get Campbell out of Man City and stave off interest from other clubs.
