Are people seriously writing off Ramadan in this thread?!? Fuck me. From the small amount of competitive game time we saw last season there's every indication that, with the right coaching and attitude, this kid could well find himself at one of the top clubs in Europe in a few years time. I was at the game today and I am not writing Ramadan off. But in the car on the way home the three of us agreed that Ramadan looked by far the poorest of all the 5 attacking players we used in the front 3 positions today. He looked a shadow of the player we saw at times last season. Hopefully it is a temporary loss of form and/or fitness but we should not kid ourselves - he is a weak link at the moment. To be fair, like all the front 3, he was doing what he was asked to do and was mobile and popped up across the width of the pitch but what he did when he had the ball was not impressive. Let's hope he gets his mojo back sooner rather than later. Just got married, still on honeymoon!

Hopefully the routine of training, playing and a stable home life will soon produce an improvement in form. It would be ironic if Ramadan lost his Mojo at exactly the time when Arnie left the club.

Just said on the radio Joselu won't start against Everton. If Crouch made that impact he'd be straight in. who said it? Two presenters on Signal 2, apparently following a Hughes interview.

A pair of very smug bastards you've got to love them though meanwhile, Mark Hughes is locked in a bog somewhere Near Bolton with head in his hands thinking 'MY BRAIN HURTS' My brain is starting to hurt with your incessant anti Highes tirade that permeates everyone of you posts. Can you give it a rest for a while

P erhaps Delph as left wing back is the missing piece. Diouf looks a good option as right WB. Shaq played well but thought Bojan was brilliant when he came on. Felt like the old Bojan. No.

Don't get excited about Joselu. He was brought back to play as he's in theshop window and clubs were notified he would be playing.

I think Sobhi is an excellent prospect who has to play.
One day the lad will play for Real Madrid.

I think Sobhi is an excellent prospect who has to play. One day the lad will play for Real Madrid. You have to be able to shoot the ball from distance to be a RM player - Sobhi has amazing dribbling ability and speed but can't strike a ball off the pitch for further than 15 yards.

If we were to get Bruno I'd run with Cameron and muniesa as the wing backs , won't help us score mind if we persist with Ramadan and berahino up front Diouf joselu Shaq for me from the current crop Cameron wing back!! hes the worst crosser we have . PIeters is the worst crosser if the ball for me. I see someone mentioned that his crossing leaves a lot to be desired today. That's great as he must have got better from last season then

That's great as he must have got better from last season then just after Cameron in my opinion especially when he tries the outside of his foot

From being at today's game I thought first half Shaq was the best player by a country mile. Always busy involved in everything. Fletcher wanted the ball all the time which is encouraging and I noticed Butland always gave the ball to Zouma to carry out and not Shawcross, which was interesting. As a team though we were so slow in moving the ball about the pitch in that first half and as has been mentioned there was hardly any pace to the team at all. Second half was much better when Bojan, Joselu and Diouf came on. Shaq linked up well with Bojan at times and Diouf played the RWB role very well I thought. One thing I'd like to mention, as goes on here, some of the moaning from our so called supporters was embarrassing at times. I heard some terrible comments (which I won't repeat on here) aimed at some of our players, namely Ramadan, Fletcher, and even Joselu when he came on. There's just no need for it people. They're Stoke, therefore OUR players and should be supported not abused. I also wonder why some people go to watch football matches as they seem to spend most of it talking absolute bollocks, not watching the match then leaving 15 minutes before the end because they've 'had enough' 🙄
Anyway a good workout for the team but I think Hughes has his work cut out to pick his first eleven.

I don't need Soccerbase to validate what I saw with my own eyes. But it's good to know that's your source of knowledge. My own eyes saw our most creative player for the last 2 seasons and possibly our best player. You saw a one season wonder.....you may have glaucoma? So out of 4 seasons you say he was good for 2? Okay for 50% of the time ( in your opinion) he was good- I take it that means for 50% of the time you also accept he wasn't. You may consider glaucoma as something to poke fun at, but I assume you mean it as a joke. If you didn't it would make you a bit of a t..t, which I presume you are not?

Jim, if you go to the original post you will see that Stokienath quoted it with the word Behave! As his response. You may notice that I "liked" his post, which may actually give you a clue. My post was in response to the claim that Berahino was a one season wonder ( the only season that he actually played for any period of time) yet we conveniently forget that Arnie ( who I actually rate) was not anything to shout about in his first two seasons. Berahino is effectively restarting a career but the one thing that you will not get given by some Stoke fans is patience. Our current "hero" (Shaq) was also being chased out of the club by a good number of posters on this board not 6 months ago.

If Ramadan is devoutly religious he may, you know, nudge nudge wink wink, only just be discovering the joys of a certain bedroom based activity, wink wink.
He might be tiring himself out, if you know what I mean, nudge nudge, say no more.

Has anyone else ever noticed that Stoke friendliest never appear on the sky sports score centre list of fixtures? Most other friendlies show up but stoke matches never do. The wolves vs Leicester game is on it but not ours. Who deals with making friendlies into real official matches? Who can I blame for this? Haha stoke have been on Yes we have been but for most of this pre season our fixtures haven't featured on the score centre app on mobiles. I haven't checked for every single one but every time I have checked it's been missing from the friendly match section.

To be fair the Sky Sports App only had 4 matches on the friendly list yesterday even though there were loads of games going on.

Most managers are like that.If u asked 500 Oatcake posters( I didn't say stoke supporters) we would have nearly 500 different selections.
