Looks like Guardiola has once again managed to buy himself a multi-million sad and sorry excuse for a goalkeeper
The only thing extraordiinary about Ederson is the horrible tattoo on his neck
Looks more like a Brazilian mobster than a premier league goalie
I bet the sheiks will get well and truly fed up with Guardiola this year and will send him packing sooner rather than later

If he manages to get Mendy at LB and a proper defensive midfielder then I think they'll still be challenging for the league, despite the obviously dodgy keeper. However, that'll be probably the reason they won't win it.

He's only played pre-season games for Man City, how can you come to that conclusion already?

Remember how bad De Gea looked when he first came over here? Ederson is a good keeper and will improve.

When Man City click, they're going to demolish a lot of clubs next season. Their wingback/wide men combinations are going to be horrible to defend against.

Man Utd are my favourites to win the league this season, and the main reason for that is called Lukaku!

Have they signed any good central midfielders yet though? That really is their weak point (along with their CBs). They've just spent 135ish on 3 new full backs. It shows the importance of them!

Nah not yet, if they're relying on kompany to stay fit then that's a massive gamble. Saw Mangala playing for them the other day and I'd be surprised if he was still there come September.

It's a fair size if though. I think he's going to play 2CB and the rest attacking mids/strikers. The talent pool they have upfront is disgusting Silva B silva Sane Sterling KDB Jesus Aguero

He didn't respect the league last year and paid for it. He's improved their full backs which he had to as they were shite but you can't take the piss in the PL with having 1 defender. I don't include Stones in that.

Gundogan.

I backed Chelsea to win it last season when I was largely in the minority.. not decided who's going to win it this season yet.

Especially towards the end of last season they started to click, the football going forward was class and was a joy to watch.
Wing backs are a big part of Guardiola's philosophy as they are becoming a big part in modern football, last season they didn't have good fill backs now they have 3 quality ones, as they should be for £120+, the only doubt about them is keeping the ball out, but given the amount of money they've spent on goalkeepers and defenders it seems they've improved in them positions.
Ederson is a goalkeeper who has a a high starting position so he's going to take risks, it isn't a Guardiola team if the keeper doesn't take risks. The concerning thing for me was he didn't seem to catch the ball first time, he always pushed it away, over the bar or take 2 attempts in shots that were placed close to him.

In spite of Man City chucking millions on players who may be bit part players, for me Silva still remains their most influential player. Seven years on and still showing his quality. 26 million quid!. Peanuts in today's market.

Pep's philosophy of 'id play 11 midfielders if I could' simply won't work in England. The only 'sweeper keeper' I can think of who's good enough to play out with their feet exactly how pep wants is the only one who's not attainable. Manuel Neuer.

What is the same player going to cost in 5 years time? £60m? £80m?
