Was anyone expecting any form of defensive help from that midfield? 😂😂
You think he would have learnt from the Wolves game ... Bojan/Imbula/Afellay, tonight Bojan/Imbula/Adam.

There seems to be a large percentage of what can only be called 'absolute bellends' amongst the St Pauli support in Britain.

Been to a couple of St.Pauli games before and the fans are so friendly it's unbelievable. Yet reading Twitter many of the UK based St.Pauli fans need climb out of their own arseholes..........

I think it's all about them thinking it's cool to follow St Pauli because of the political stance, and trying to fit in. They stick out like a sore thumb.

Style of play, Brexit-supporting, racist right-wing club, sexist.... There's a lot to like about the club - but when you get people from Britain associating themselves with them, hoping a bit of their rebel 'cool' rubs off on them, they can quickly disappear up their own backsides. I bet their German fans aren't half as precious.

However, me and my missus are planning on going over to Hamburg to watch them In a proper match so I can't wait to see what they're actually like!

The St. Pauli fans you meet are games are the soundest people you could hope to meet. However, I get the impression some UK St. Pauli groups have poo-poo'ed this from the start because they don't like other English people crashing their clubhouse.

So the guy supports a club that has "welcome to hell" written on the tunnel walls and skulls on the corner flags. But doesn't want to be associated with a club that sings a famous Tom Jones song?. I've heard it all now.

There's a certain irony in a few pretentious arseholes slagging of Stoke fans on social media within seconds of a partnership being announced and claiming that it's us who'll guarantee that it won't work.

I'm amazed to see they're getting wound up about a song like this. I'm sure no Stoke fans consider the words in it, either the original ones or our own. I sing it because it's our song, nothing more.
However. It is a very odd link up from a fans perspective. They are a well known left wing club, possibly one of the most well known? I'm sure you can't pin one label on our fans political views, but if you tried it's very unlikely it would be a left wing label?
Maybe the link is an Illjudged one, or maybe given the side our chairman swings perhaps not?

Cannot believe how easy our defence was ripped apart by a 2nd division german team. Championship here we come.

Not quite sure why they're getting wound up about the lyrics to Delilah. Their team enters the pitch (or at least they used to) to AC/DC's Hell's Bells, which includes the completely inoffensive lyrics; "Won't take no prisoners, won't spare no lives... you're only young, but you're gonna die..."

No but nonetheless the lack of quality in reserve at the back at the very least isn't good enough. Hughes said right at the beginning of the window he wants defenders. One has come in and one hasn't come back (yet).

Wolly needs the captains armband for next season and to take (not so) wee Harry under his wing. If they gel, Champions League qualification should be achievable.

If I was born and bred in Glasgow with all the religious and political bigotatary and misinformation that these people are fed on by the likes of Sturgeon and Salmond, and generations before them I may feel the same.
Fortunatly most Scots are as embarrassed by this rubbish as we are enraged.
We have our share of idiots in SOT and on the Oatcake. Best to give them the attention they deserve and ignore them

One has come in and one hasn't come back (yet). And it's not like it's just because it was those players. The midfield for an age now has offered little protection to the back 4. These friendlies have just been a continuation of what we've seen in the last 18 months. And that's the real worry. We don't seem to have learned anything.

Not seen the game how did our record signing perform ?, are we shaping up to challenge for a top half finish ?, has Mark Hughes learned anything about the weaknesses in the squad he has built in the last 18 month's ?
