He really is an unlikable bloke Just watched it on YouTube, Bathy --- he's making it with one of his daughters, so there's no bad language. I wish he'd stop saying 'nice' all the time, though. Really gets on my wick. Coincidentally I put a post on here a few days ago (can't remember which thread) about a chap called Stavros (no kiddin') who does quite a few Greek/Cypriot (still no kiddin') recipes on YouTube --- found him by accident last week & he's quite old-fashioned & sweet & does everything very slowly: "And now I weel jost chup dees puutayyytoss…........." chop chop chop Makes a nice change from all the flash bums who are so-called 'celeb chefs', though. Anyway, the last Greek recipe I watched Stav making last Friday was a roast chicken stuffed with rice - it was very similar to the Gordon R one in quite a few ways. NB: If you put 'Stavros' into YT's search box you'll probably get Stavros Flatley coming up first. Equally watchable! Murph, My family are pretty sick of me watching wall to wall cookery programs. They don’t moan when I’m cooking them dinner, mindXx

Discharged by physio having successfully negotiated the stairs on crutches so all clear for the weekend. Hanging about (hopefully to be kicked out) so will use the time constructively to collate some scoring/assists stats prior to Sundays big match. UIMS Back to vampire hours soon?

Hopefully that particular episode is behind me mate. Fantastic job done. As the consultant said these 'things' are far more effective and precise than any surgeons knife. Much respect to the humble maggot. The nurse who took them off was genuinely sad that they were effectively being dispatched having done their job. Seemed for a moment she had thoughts of liberating or taking them home. Quite touching really. Perhaps book myself in for leeches next.Naaaaaah, Nige --- Cut out the middle man........ go straight for the Paraguayan cannibals........ PS: And their new name is macrons, btw...............Actually think calling these miracles of medicine that is disrespectful. (Whether you mean the man or the sports merchandise).

According to wiki Floyd died in Bridport in Dorset. The Adam Faith one was weird. Me and the wife saw him in a play at the Regent Theatre in Hanley, which finished about 10.15pm ish. I got up early next morning, switched the TV on and there it was on the news that he'd died at the Moat House. It seemed surreal as he'd been in great form, and even said to the audience at the finish how much he'd enjoyed doing the play that night. In hindsight we thought it almost seemed like he'd had a premonition.

Going again in June, staying in Lyme Regis. We always go along to Bridport as they have a great street market, and then we nip down to West Bay (Broadchurch). We'd love to move down there but the property is a teeny weeny bit too expensive !

Bluddy dodgy prawn vol-au-vents --- you can never be too careful. I frequented the Maltsters Arms in Tuckenhay on the Dart near Totnes, Floyds gaff. A jukebox with only The Stranglers on it, a big fan of the crayfish starter. Saw the old slurper several times in there. His connection to Stoke was odd, he sort of moved here and stayed with a superfan couple for a time when he was on his uppers.

It's a moveable feast Murph. This bank holiday malarky has chucked timescales in the air. The most recent consultant said there's no need for another course of wrigglers and has moved me on to thr honey treatment. I'm presuming a little that they won't want me hanging around just for dressing changes. Other than the (achilles) heel I'm in tip top condition and raring to go... I've discovered all the glitches in the matrix (cultural menu/wifi code/midnight brews/pain killing routines/extra meals/the horlicks option/free socks etc etc) and adopted magpies. I feel my work here is done. I'll know better tomorrow when my actual consultant is back on. Quite an adventure... all hail Beverage and the NHS.

Murph, My family are pretty sick of me watching wall to wall cookery programs. They don’t moan when I’m cooking them dinner, mindXx I didn't know you were into cookery, Bathy....... Over the weekend I was pratting about in YT again after I'd caught up with the most recent batch of skits on 'the Donald' on Saturday Night Live (et al) & I idly typed 'Delia' in and 'gooseberries' - and up came the DS 'Summer' series. I personally love Delia's presenting and ended up watching her for well over an hour. Never picked up on this one Murph? Here's a conversation from the Barth dinner table.
Barth: "Pass the salt please"
Child: "Which one daddy?"
