A walking injury to my heel, mistreatment has landed me in hospital with a near amputation. Maggot(larval) therapy and a long process to rescue the situation. Not out of the woods yet (nor hospital) but things are on the up. Getting proper care and a ward to myself, just had two sunday dinners and full attention until the beds start getting refilled. Stir crazy is all now. What's happened to you mate? Bloody hell you came close mate. I'm still inside, can breathe a bit easier but the broken bone and cracked rid are giving m issues. Got to find somewhere to work and live when I eventually leave here. Might be tricky. I'm on geriatrics ward, hell on earth. All the best with recovery and everything else going on Chuffed

I collapsed in the car park at the small railway in Wales. Seizure apparently ,First responders began CPR then the ambulance took over, my heart stopped twice which meant two lots of cardiac arrest. Woke up in intensive care. Still hurts where they did the compressions but not quite as much as last week,at least I can breathe a bit better now.

Well, I obviously have no idea what that’s all about, but probably just as well that you were not conscious when all that was going on. Sounds like you’re a V lucky guy, not withstanding the pain & being in hospital & all the other stuff. Again, if you don’t mind me asking, Why do you need new job/accommodation, is it health related...

Of course there's some distortion in the points tally of the teams around us, we've done far better against the opposition than Cardiff...(the team we replaced).
As it stands we're on 66 points. On the final day the best we can do is 5th, if we beat Man Utd and Arsenal lose.
A win against Man Utd puts us into the Euros.
The final game to be played next sunday. Exciting stuff.

Discharged by physio having successfully negotiated the stairs on crutches so all clear for the weekend.
Hanging about (hopefully to be kicked out) so will use the time constructively to collate some scoring/assists stats prior to Sundays big match.

Are they going to give you a doggy-bag of leftover macrons to take home with you? Hopefully that particular episode is behind me mate. Fantastic job done. As the consultant said these 'things' are far more effective and precise than any surgeons knife. Much respect to the humble maggot. The nurse who took them off was genuinely sad that they were effectively being dispatched having done their job. Seemed for a moment she had thoughts of liberating or taking them home. Quite touching really. Perhaps book myself in for leeches next.

Did you have to do a lot of swearing whilst you were making it, Bathy? He really is an unlikable bloke Just watched it on YouTube, Bathy --- he's making it with one of his daughters, so there's no bad language. I wish he'd stop saying 'nice' all the time, though. Really gets on my wick. Coincidentally I put a post on here a few days ago (can't remember which thread) about a chap called Stavros (no kiddin') who does quite a few Greek/Cypriot (still no kiddin') recipes on YouTube --- found him by accident last week & he's quite old-fashioned & sweet & does everything very slowly: "And now I weel jost chup dees puutayyytoss…........." chop chop chop Makes a nice change from all the flash bums who are so-called 'celeb chefs', though. Anyway, the last Greek recipe I watched Stav making last Friday was a roast chicken stuffed with rice - it was very similar to the Gordon R one in quite a few ways. NB: If you put 'Stavros' into YT's search box you'll probably get Stavros Flatley coming up first. Equally watchable!
