Just been confirmed. Should be easy for Floyd. I don't get these matches, Ric. If it's under boxing rules Floyd will school him, if MMA kicks and choke holds were allowed it might be a different story. They are two different sports, so I don't really see the point in them.

The most cringeworthy load of wobblecock I've ever heard, and thats the last I'll say on the subject. Fuck it off.

It's just a mega money fight. I'm sure Connor doesn't care about winning/losing as both these fighters are winners at the end of the night with the paycheck they will receive. Connor can box though as most his MMA fights have been won from standing up. If he lands that left on Floyd then anything can happen. If... he lands, Mayweather hardly gets hit

If it's all about money, Mayweather can fight me, he can keep his purse plus have 90% of mine, I will be happy with the other 10%.

This is nothing more than something for all the braindead, celebrity obsessed morons to get excited about. It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't have some TV show come out with it showing them training & what not.

It shouldn't really have been sanctioned. McGregor needs a few amateur bouts and a pro warm-up under his belt before he takes on one of the best boxers alive, but money talks and the reason he isn't having warm-up fights is because he'd lose to any no-name serious boxer - which would spanner this freak-show.
Fuck 'em.

I hope it hasn't been sanctioned by the Boxing Boards..... It would be disgusting that Floyd could beat Marciano's record on a bum fight... Well it wouldn't even be a Bum fight as McGregor is not even schooled in boxing

I love both fighters for different reasons but its this simple, if they both box with gloves its Floyd easily if its in the octagon mccregor wins easily so obviously floyd wins.
Mccregor would need at least 18 months experience with gloves on but even then he would lose. The reason mayweather is so good is because hes so damn hard hit, ask 49 pro boxers they will tell ya. Carl Froch got it bang on, he was ringside at the pacquiao fight and he said Floyd's movement is absolute genuis, as in the sweet science of boxing floyd is the best ever BUT hes not the best puncher or entertainer in the ring hence his argument with larry that time.

I'm flying to the UK that night so thankfully I'm prevented from wasting $100 on this pile of crap PPV!

I can understand why some are not happy with this, but for any combat sports fan, this is going to be entertaining. Imagine the press conference. I personally cannot wait for this

I personally cannot wait for this what do you think they'll charge for this in the UK on PPV. My guess is $100 in the US same as the Pac fight. Still cheap compared to being there - I just bout 2 tix for Broner vs Garcia - $350 a piece... ughhh

Mcgregor is a really strange fighter though and Mayweather has never met anyone like him. He has an extreme dedication to improve and tries anything if he thinks it will help, especially with his movement. He is flexible and fast which might allow him to get closer to Mayweather and if he can dodge his punches he could get an opportunity. He only needs to catch Mayweather once. Mayweather has put his whole career on the line for this fight. The lead up to the fight will be good.

Pacquio, Hatton, Del la Hoya, castillo, canelo, mosely etc etc. These were elite boxers that Floyd played with. There is not a chance a MMA fighter who hasn't even had one amateur boxing bout let alone a professional boxing bout can defeat one of the greatest fighters there has been. The lead up will be quite funny I'll give you that.

He will get in Mayweathers head before the fight and Mayweather doesn't possess great power. It depends how seriously Mayweather prepares, i am probably hoping it will be more exciting than it will be. Mcgregor's only advantage is Mayweather won't be able to study his style and Mcgregor can study his.

He will toy with him for 12 rounds. He's never been much of a KO artist as he suffers from brittle hands so he will just box his head off and hit him at will

Ricky rattled him at press conferences and the English really got up Floyd's skin. As the Irish will try but in that ring Floyd will completely school him mcgregors only hope is that Floyd has a David haye freak accident and his ligaments go and he can't walk. And even then Floyd would probably catch his shots

I'm shocked Mayweather's only 1/7 on. Boxing wise Mcgregor couldn't win a British title but fair play, they'll earn a serious amount of money for an exhibition match

Pay me one million and I will provide a spectacle...I'll do all the bravado before, milk it and big it up...and then in the first round go down..and take the cash.
