We might think we have a partisan and passionate fan base but we and for that matter every club in the U.K can't hold a candle to th way they get behind their team in Europe. We saw plenty of impressive displays of what a proper atmosphere is like in our European season but how about this showing Racing Santander fans welcoming their team bus to the stadium for their Spanish third tier promotion play off home game today. Unreal! Can you imagine our team getting the same welcome from us at the B365?

Important game for them.....possibly if they were that well supported more often they wouldn't have dropped through the divisions in the first place. Seen them at the Nou Camp a few years back, no away fans, as is fairly standard for spanish football with a few notable exceptions.

Went a Spainish prem game at Santander a few years back, ground half empty, no singing, no atmosphere. They are not a good example for your case? Also went Bilbao, that was more like it.

Well the video is a very good example of fanatical support and it was taken in Santander BEFORE the game on Sunday. They went on to win 4-0 to book their place in the play off final against a Barcelona junior team ( thank the lord we don't have that nonsense in our lower leagues, yet!) Anyway whether this is normal behaviour or not of the Santander fans can you tell me if you've ever known anything like what's in that video in this country after a game let alone before it?? BM
