Just switched the debate back on and M.P. after M.P. are all standing up and basically saying there must be a people's vote as "the only fair way to resolve this and heal the rift in the country". One just said that Parliament couldn't ignore the 1 million protesters and 5 million who've signed the petition as "their voices can't be ignored" - funny that they have no problem ignoring the 17.4 million who voted Leave. Let's face it fellas Parliament will work it so that we'll be remaining in the EU by one means or another and are going to "let the people decide," so that they can be absolved of all blame. If they think this will "heal the rift in the country" I think they're sadly mistaken ! I think you mean the 300-400k protestors seems remain were bullshitting again about march numbers.

Ministers falling like Dominoes. 29 resignations under Theresa May The three ministerial resignations tonight put the total number of resignations from Theresa May's government at 29 outside reshuffles.

Parliament is now in control of Brexit and not the Govt, as it should have been fron the start. Whoever is in control should deliver Brexit. Of course, there is even less chance of it happening now, because the wankers have got their way. Let's see what they come up with , I bet it's closer to in than out. Hey ho, as long as it gets stopped, eh?

Yes I see some company that specialises in crowd numbers estimation has put the figure at 300-400k. Quite an impressive turn out (nice weather for it as well !), but way, way short of the organisers claims.

They really don't get it do they ? Do they really expect 17.4 million voters to just shrug their shoulders and walk way and accept this betrayal ? Bring on the next general election, I think quite a few of them will be in for a big surprise ! The election campaigns should be fun to watch !

For the first time today (and nothing may come of it) I have heard on TV about the possibility of a future Public Enquiry of some sort into the behaviour of the party of Government in the conduct of this Referendum and result. This process has been unmitigated vandalism against the public of the UK, and here's hoping the Tories will be held to account.

There are plenty of former remainers so concerned with how this has played out that they are saying they would vote leave. But I doubt you’d see that point of view in the papers...

It will be interesting to see if either main party at least pretends to be the party who will deliver Brexit. The Tories have to, in my opinion, if they have a chance of winning. Labour will probably soften their stance further, so what's the point in having two parties with a fag paper between them? I know some previous Labour voters who would vote Tory over Brexit, but I don't know if this would be the case country wide? I still don't see how the Labour plan enables them to end FOM, and that must hurt them at the polling stations.

I do think the M.P.'s are in their own bubble and don't truly understand the mood across the whole country, but the media Remain bias could just sway some undecided voters.

We’ve had three years of unrelenting bad news and negative propaganda regarding Brexit, so it would be a miracle if a decent number didn’t switch sides to remain. The only hope would be that if there were a second vote the broadcasting media would have to temper their blatant bias for a period during the campaigns, so a certain amount of parity would help. Then there’s the problem of a number of Brexit voters taking the view that there’s literally no point voting when there’s every likelihood that their vote will still somehow be dismissed again. A second victory for Brexit would be glorious though, and very funny.

I feel like they made this misjudgement before though. I’m surprised any of them want another referendum on that basis. It could go horribly wrong for them again. I think the media remain bias is having an opposite effect but that’s just my view and the people around me. I just think it’s a bit risky. Perhaps I am wrong and they can be that confident of remain winning the next one but I’m just not so sure.

I called fit up during the last election and I stand by every word. Honestly don't think it's worth voting in the next election. both main parties have been awful during Brexit, and there is no party that represents the working class any more. Someone told me years ago that "they all shit in the same pot" and they have proved him right.

I know a fair few remainers that are now even more worried about the democratic impact of not delivering on the referendum that they’d now vote leave...perhaps that not very widespread. I just feel like they misjudged the mood of the country before and don’t seem to consider they could be misjudging it again. Who knows. I just think it’s odd they don’t seem to have considered this. It would serve them right if the vote was leave again.

The Independent website says a general election is looking now very likely in the very near future.
It also says a long delay for Brexit is likely as "Parliament takes it's time to determine a solution which is acceptable to the House". Looking like EU elections could be coming our way as well What a joke !
Well as long as the shysters are happy that's the main thing ! Not forgetting those that LOST the 2016 referendum, got to keep them happy haven't they ! Oh, and sod the 17.4 million voters who actually WON in 2016, let's just ignore them as they didn know what they were voting for !
OUR M.P.'s ARE COMPLETE AND UTTER SHITS !

Yes, and if we had a Tony Benn and not a cheap imitation we would have some representation. I would vote for a party that would honour the referendum result, but I am not voting for someone who has shit on me from a great height. Corbyn has abandoned his principles and there's hardly a cunt in the shadow cabinet that I can abide. Years ago, there would have been strikes over this, and all Corbyn and the unions can muster is to urge us to stop No Deal. Well fuck him and them.

This whole thing really is a total and utter fucking farce. Will money grubing MPs really carry out what "the people" want? Or will they carry on generating as much earning potential as they can? It isn't that long ago that we were seeing them fiddling their expense claims. Now we are not talking about using too many pencils, or a few "rubbers" , were they claiming for a Maccy D meal or two? - they were claiming expenses for houses that they didn't live in! Too few of the bastards actually served jail time! www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0003mtg/expenses-the-scandal-that-changed-britain

Now for anyone that actually watched that BBC link that I posted - do you still actually believe that our MPs are voting on our country leaving or staying in the European Union to be in the interest of our country - or could it very slightly be, the interest of their own pockets?

Leave managed 17.4 million in one day, with only one vote each. Oh, and you actually had to leave the house. By the way, your dog walk and Waitrose picnic got a third of those minister of spin figures on Saturday. Even adding all the tourists into it. Yet more bullshit. There is no change of opinion except that people are even more pissed off with the establishment, their puppet EU rag-wavers, the UK Juncker Youth Movement and the perfidious MPs.

The whole expenses scandal has now gone away, and has been swept under the carpet. It is now totally forgotten. But these same fraudulent MPs are now buggering around with our future regarding that pit of shit that is known as the EEC.
It has been said many times on here regarding our football managers, or the CEO - if they had failed in their own jobs, they would be sacked and out of the door.
Some folks seem to be "sainted" and "unsackable"

With public trust in the political class again on the decline, that scandal has the potential to resurface and used against them. As for MPs being "unsackable" that's simply not true. You can vote them out every five years - or two years as it seems to be these days. The problem is whether those who replace them are destined to be any better. That's what I have trouble with because invariably they are not.

That's what I have trouble with because invariably they are not. There are only 650 Mps , tasked with running the country. All in all I don't think that there is much honour and integrity amongst them . Across the country there are millions of ordinary people , school cleaners, nurses, plasterers ( with exceptions) who show more character and decency on a daily basis. In a different, working class, context this would be reported with a different slant....... inews.co.uk/news/layla-moran-lib-dem-leader-hopeful-admits-assaulting-ex-boyfriend/And then we have the lying convicted Boston MP who doesn't think that she should resign. Cameron's pre election promises and Letwin's promises mean nothing.. : For me honour, truth and integrity are qualities required for the job........ if a doctor or teacher or window cleaner behaved in the way that some of these MPs have I don't think that they would keep their Jobs.

My M.P. is rarely seen locally but I just hope the bast*rd dares to come and knock on my door during the campaign as I'll really tell them what I think. Frustratingly though at the next election I think lots of voters will return to "normal" party politics and most M.P.'s will survive although I do think (and hope) that there will be a few "big name casualties"' This whole Brexit scenario has really shown the way Parliament operates to suit itself, and the utter contempt that it shows for the electorate. It was always a bit shrouded in procedures, history, tradition, and politics, but this has just shown it to be totally disrespectful and dismissive to the public when the decision didn't go the way these shysters wanted it to go. They've slowly but surely systematically rejected and objected to everything until they've reached the position where they've dismissed the wishes of 17.4 million voters so that they can get the outcome that they want. I would imagine this latest step will be met with complete and utter fury by vast parts of the country, whilst being celebrated by others. This isn't going to "heal the rift" it's only going to make things even worse !

No Deal Brexit won't even be considered as Parliament are fully aware that option would quite likely win (again)!!
