There was an indication towards the end of the season that Saido Berahino was going to abandon any holiday plans and stay to spend the close season working on his fitness with extra work outs and training. Have we had any evidence of this or reports on his progress? Will this fearsome superfit Berahino be ready to be unleashed upon the Premier League come August?
And incidentally would it not be an idea for Stephen Ireland to be joining him in these extra sessions?

He's working too hard, he'll be over trained, the lad needs to kick back a bit. I'd rather he post a picture of himself enjoying a little recreational hashish with a couple of hotties in a hotel room in the Sheraton

Hope he gets lots of minutes pre-season, first team and select XI friendlies to knock a few goals in!

Fair comment. But he hasn't got a reputation as being a model professional and I feel he has got a fair amount of ground to make up to earn respect.

I actually thought he was working too hard in games, and trying too hard.
As he was tracking back to win the ball for the team meanin he was out of position or fucked when the ball came too him.

I thought he did that from the moment he walked in through the door, but each to their own. Far too many people in my opinion looked at one side of the argument at West Brom, without even considering how the player was treated. They ain't robots mate. EDIT: Christ he looks as thin as a rake. Instagram

Fair play to him that's the attitude we want to see. If he can keep fit I think he'll do well next season.

I hope he gets his career back , seems happy with us , we do need to find more players who can spot his runs and pick him out with better forward passes though

I firmly believe Saido will be great next season and will score goals, my prediction,18 plus goals. He is working on his fitness, his mental state will be much better being at a club that cares about him. I imagine his mind was far from settled at West Brom.
