Lost to 10 virtually relgated men at Birmingham City so they will need to improve quite a lot. And lost with a whimper 0-3 to a crap Forest side, a victory that, in effect, kept Forest up - dammit

It's starting to look a bit of a weird league, isn't it?
Half the clubs have had a spell in the third tier since the late 90s.
And the build-up of traditional heavyweights in the Championship continues!

If we lose to a team featuring dean whitehead that's me done with this version of stoke city. Didn't we lose at home to QPR for whom Clint Hill played (and scored if my memory isn't playing tricks on me?) long after we'd discarded him? It must have been 4 or 5 years ago when we were the previous, supposedly defensively solid, version of Stoke City.

And the build-up of traditional heavyweights in the Championship continues! Yes. I think it has much to do with the Premier League money being 90% of most clubs revenues. In the past if you were a Villa or a Leeds with 35-40 thousand gates in the end you would always bounce back and overtake a Burnley or a Bournemouth who get fewer than 15 thousand. But that incremental gate money is now virtually an irrelevance. That's my theory for what it's worth,

Huddersfield have managed to get promotion despite having a negative goal difference. I'm not sure if that has ever happened before!

I wanted either Huddersfield or Wednesday for the great pubs on offer...hic Huddersfield fans who have had season tickets since 2009 are offered one for £100 for the 1st Premier League season as a reward for sticking with their club - brilliant gesture by the club. Before anybody says anything our freezing of prices since we came up is also a brilliant long standing gesture by Stoke - compare that to how fans are ripped off at the London clubs.
