When he left us it wasn't even to be manager at Sunderland was it, it was bloody assistant, shows what a high regard he had for Stoke City, the cheeky little tyke

It was definitely one of those "Where were you when..." Stoke City moments, I was driving up the A217 in Surrey in my souped up VW Golf V6 4MOTION and was immediately adjacent to the Bridge House Hotel when it came on the radio

It was definitely one of those "Where were you when..." Stoke City moments, I was driving up the A217 in Surrey in my souped up Gold VW V6 4MOTION and was just adjacent to the Bridge House Hotel when it came on the radio I was at home on the morning and the strange announcement time and poor grammar in the odd statement from Stoke led me to believe their website had been hacked. After a reasonable enough start it suggested he wasn't actually equipped to manage.

If I was your chairman I'd offer big Sam a bin liner full of cash to come back That would be my number 1 priority, but we don't have cash to give to Allardyce and the owner doesn't like him after he left for England

Oh Quitters! To think aswell he was going to be the England manager within a couple of years of leaving us. Good coach he may be, I haven't bothered to follow his career but what a Herbert.

He didn't set the world alight for us, Burnley, Pompy or Forest. Did well at Cheltenham, won league 2 with Notts County (because they were fucking loaded that season) and had 1 good season at Brizzle. Bang Average manager in my opinion - his natural level is bottom end of the championship/League 1. Doubt he will be considered anyway after that shower of shite him and his mate Wilkinson managed up there when he left us.

Funny what you remember.
