After what could be described as a difficult season watching Stoke I for one will have some faith in football restored by seeing Ajax giving Utd a beating

I'm no great fan of Utd or Jose but I will still be wanting them to win to-night.Having 5 teams in the Champions League is good for the Prem. Also after Monday night's events I'm hoping something good happens for Manchester to-night.

It seems from the day Manure entered the Europa the media in particular have assumed they would win the competition. Jose conceded the league position option a few games ago probably correctly. But as a cynical bastard I think it would be hilarious for them to bottle it. As for 5 teams in the champs helps maintain prems status in the competition as someone has said...that status of 4 teams depends more on how our clubs progress in the competition...thank fuck for lester!

For me its got to be a win for Manchester tonight after what has happened, it wont change anything for the people affected but anything positive for the city must help a little. I'm a great fan of Ajax and it's good to seem them back up there but tonight is different.

Going to watch the game at Museumplein in Amsterdam. Should be cracking atmosphere and I fancy Ajax to pull this one off.
Condolences to anyone affected in Manchester as I loved the city and lived there for 5 years. But Amsterdam is now my 1st home so Ill be routing for Ajax

Jose conceded the league position option a few games ago probably correctly. But as a cynical bastard I think it would be hilarious for them to bottle it. A run of Man city, Arsenal & Tottenham all away either side of a 2 legged European semi final cost Man utd league position. He conceded when it was mathematically impossible to gain 4th and couldn't finish any lower than 6th.

Also after Monday night's events I'm hoping something good happens for Manchester to-night. Spot on. I'm one of those Stokies who stupidly wants Stoke to get a chance to play in the Champions League at least once in my life time. And the best chance of that happening is if English clubs do well in the competition to keep our country "coefficient" high to ensure we get the maximum number of places allocated each season. So - through gritted teeth - "come on Man U - just this once, do it for Manchester and for Stoke".

Yeah footballing hatred sort of goes out the window after events like Monday, don't they? Not for bayern. But yes although I feel slightly dirty saying it Man Utd winning will give a much needed lift (however small) to the city or at least some of it......

Once the players step on that pitch - football is football. Young/exciting Ajax team against a boring boring United side. GROAAN AJAX!

I'll be watching it in a pub in hemel Hempstead, no doubt surrounded by Spurs and arsenal fans, it will be interesting to see who they want to win, I think it will be Ajax.

Definitely ajax and thats nothing to do with the opponents or anything else. They have been my second team for over 20 years. The only shirt i have ever worn aside from stoke. Went to the old stadium but never been the new one. They seem to have been totally written off in this game. Come on ajax!

This football match has nothing at all to do with these horrible murdering bastards. Football isn't as important as life or death - footballing hatreds are not therefore anything more than part of the fun, I'll support Ajax for this one match and continue to hate Man United but that has nothing whatever to do with anything really important.
This club is little more than a franchise, a large number of their 'fans' don't even come from there. A respectful minutes silence will more than suffice

Man United are strong favourites.
Winner (with Bet365) MUFC 4/9 Ajax 7/4
Like most people I'd love to see Ajax win but I think it is most unlikely.
