But the 62-year-old was understood to be unhappy with the club's transfer policy and did not get the guarantees he wanted that he would be able to strengthen in what he saw as the key areas this summer.
Unexpected, to say the least

Took a page out of old TP's book.
I was thinking it may be a bluff or some sort of bargaining tool at first, but if he cleared out his desk at the training ground...

Unexpected, to say the least Massive shock actually as I know he quite likes it in the Smoke. Moyes would be happy to take it perhaps?

Come on Sam you know it makes sense😄 I reckon a return to Sunderland Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Good to see you've still got a sense of humour mate. Always good to see you post on this board...please come back next season. Who's favourite for the Roker job? Will Short spend? Other than everywhere, where do you think you need to improve?

I will ask it before anyone else does - if this is accurate, would anyone have him at Stoke instead of Les? It's a no from me.

So that means Southampton (probably), Palace, and Watford all scrambling for a new manager now - as well as Hull, Boro and Sunderland.

Of course - if he had jettisoned Les, it seems pretty certain that Sam would be top of his list now he is seemingly available. I am glad personally that it seems they have decided to give Hughes another season, as Sam is a dinosaur of the Pulis ilk, and I would want any future manager to be more progressive, less old school and also less keen on taking a bung (allegedly) and profiting from his position. Sam's biggest crush is on himself, which I find rather distasteful, and he is not half as clever as he thinks he is.

Palace are so full of shit. Making out they're offering players 110k a week. They obviously can't maintain that, and this shows things aren't right there.

Nothing on Sky Sports news yet unusual for them to be that slow with breaking news.

All about opinions mate I know mate, and that's mine, not arguing with you. I actually felt sorry for him at West Ham for a while but lost all respect for him when he ballsed up the England job. I don't quite know how he got over that.

Just because he uses ProZone does not make him England's answer to Guardiola! I think Pulis at least recognises, and almost revels in, his status as a bit of a dinosaur.
