So what defines a journeyman then? He is 29 and is already on his 4th club with possibly his best years still ahead of him. I see his move to B/Mouth as an opportunity to rebuild his stock after playing 2nd fiddle at Chelsea with another big club move in a couple of years then ultimately the long slow slide down the ladder which will be at least 4 clubs in my opinion. So he could end up playing for 9/10 clubs in his career. Now for me that's a journeyman unless I am missing something, and certainly when you compare to say someone like Denis Smith who stayed with Stoke through youth team to the end of his career ( an extreme example I know in this day and age ) then I am struggling to see what a journeyman definition really is, if Bego doesn't fit that description. By the way, I am not saying being a journeyman is a bad thing! Haha you've just arbitrarily added on six more clubs to Bego's career so that you can describe him as a journeyman! Whatever it means I don't get how an old player continuing to play at lower levels is indicative of someone who's only interested in money like your original post seemed to suggest. And FWIW I think Bego is easily good enough to stay with a biggish club until the end of his career without sliding down the ladder, as you put it. Ahhhh come on, as I say i'm not saying tagging him as a journeyman is a bad thing, I can just see his career being one of playing for many clubs and chasing the best deal until the end, as he will have no loyalty to any club in particular. If I was Bego I would do exactly the same! Arbitrarily adding on 6 clubs was not to help illustrate the point, I think that is how it will pan out ultimately! If I end up being right......great, if I end up being wrong.....great! Just my opinion thats all.
