Sky just mentioning that if Fulham are promoted via the play offs, half of the league will be clubs from London or the south! Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, C Palace, Bournemouth, Southampton, Brighton, Watford and West Ham 😲

Better get used to no gravy on your chips lads... I'm from the proper north (Yorkshire) and I hate gravy on my chips. Wife likes it though she's half southern! Has to be tom sauce for me. Think ourselves lucky we are still in prem anyway!

If Huddersfield get promotion Newcastle's nearest away game will be 121 miles. If they don't it will be the Manchester clubs at 144 miles. It is going to be an expensive season for the geordies. It is just a meagre 346 miles to Brighton for them

It is just a meagre 346 miles to Brighton for them Newcastle really ought to consider offering free away travel like Stoke do. It would cost the club more than it costs Stoke, but it's still a small expense in the grand scheme of things to show your appreciation for your most dedicated fans.

London itself is a doddle to get to and pretty cheap on the train if you get a joint rail card with one of your mates and book in advance.
Far cheaper/easier to get to in fact than Hull, and certainly easier than the likes of Sunderland and Middlesbrough...

I hadn't realised that "northern / Midlands teams" are disappearing from the division so significantly Every fixture is an away game for me

Kind of agree, though I'd argue more would take the 20's plenty on all tickets. The Geordie's always take a strong away following wherever they go but unless it was on the train, I'd imagine free away travel wouldn't be much use to them.
