Hi guys , I might give the show a miss tonight and listen to the podcast in the week....I'm depressed enough after yesterday's shambles.
I've recorded the Eurovision Song Contest , so I could watch that instead to cheer me up a bit....😀
Although I don't think Hughes will go. I'm starting to think he should, after witnessing a Stoke side that didn't lay a finger on Arsenal until about 60 mins and looked out on their feet after 75 ...Simply not good enough !! 😡

Depressed? You want depression, go to Hull Claytonscrubs. As for Eurovision, never did like Westlife so Irish judges, pardon the pun "take that!"

Good point about Hull Ange. 👍....That's what I always say to the Hughes haters, try being in the bottom three etc etc....It's just losing to Arsenal in such a docile way, I find hard to take. Eurovision ? ......I would never miss your offerings for that rubbish. I'll be listening later no probs !.... Can't wait for 2 hours of total misery , sitting on my patio with a few beers..🍺🍺🍺 Have a good show, and don't be too harsh on Russ. He was talking a lot of sense last week ...😀

You were drinking last week too then? I think the manner of the defeat is what upset us all, especially against them.

Where to start about yesterday😡Still very angry with both the management and the lack of desire from the players. All week Hughes has said we want to go out at home on a high and the players will be up for it,well if that's up for it then god help us.From minute one we just sat off and let them dictate the play and apart from a 10 minute spell we were woeful. There is so much wrong with the team and the club at the minute and the only way this will change is to replace the manager and get the matchday experience back again because for me it died along time a go. The amount of people that stayed behind for the lap of appreciation must tell the hierarchy what they need to do because like Mike Pejic said yesterday after the game the writing is on the wall for next season if nothing changes. Also I never thought I'd see the day again at Stoke when someone throws their season card at Hughes after their fourth.Who'd have thought that 16 months a go

1 win in ten. That was HULL at home. Yes they also conceded 4 goals at Selhurst today like we did (no other team in the PL). 7 times we have conceded 4 goals. 16 points have come from relegated teams. Yet to beat a team above 12th. Imbula, where is he? Has Sobhi been caught with Leslie’s wife? Why was Bojan sent out on loan when clearly Mark you haven’t got a natural 10 You continue to baffle me with your subs, why bring Ramadan on with 10 mins to go and 4-1 down? When clearly Arnie was having a mare before his injury. Why wait until now to say Imbula could be off? Ok we are lowest spenders in the league but 1 win in 10 is nothing short of disgraceful. 41 points? The football has been utter utter garbage. Not to mention the fact that he has no idea over his tactics. Johnson was garbage, but surprise folks he's given another contract. How long do we rely on Crouch? Russ, have you been excited this season? I have not. Lastly, how can anyone defend this man anymore, he's done well for us but it's been 19 months of utter utter garbage. I have a couple of questions for you guys, firstly, Do you trust Hughes with another 50 million in order to rebuild the squad? Secondly, Would you say in your opinion this has been our worst season in our 9 year tenure in the PL? People have been defending Hughes Ange saying that it's one bad season but it's not, it's now 19 months of regression. Pulis only had one bad season and he left, why can't Hughes MARCO SILVA!

Hi team / I haven't been in touch for a couple of years but listen live every week from the beautiful Northern Irish coast. I felt I had to email tonight. The last match I was able to get over to the wonderful Potteries for was the thrashing of Spurs in Nzonzi's last season. What a change I have witnessed from afar in my team. I fully get those that point to premiership survival and say it could be much worse - Hull being a case in point. I have supported Stoke since the early 70's and have witnessed the dark days - I even saw us beaten in Belfast by Linfield in a friendly for goodness sake! I never thought I would see us back in the big time and am so greatful to the team, owners and managers for that. But by god - as HalfmanHalfbiscuit would say - there is something rotten at the back of Iceland! Can anyone tell me what our team tries to do anymore? What is our strategy both on and off the pitch? Are the owners not concerned about the clear lack of strategy on the pitch and growing disquiet off it? I am not laying the blame at the feet of anyone. I don't know what goes on in the head of our manager or players. However something is wrong and needs to change. As the old quote attributed to Einstein states - continuing to repeat the same action and expect a different result is a definition of insanity!

Good evening all.
I'm all out of expletives to say just how disgusting yesterday was. How can so many so-called professional athletes that are on anywhere between 30- 70 grand a week put that kind of shift? I said our season was over when Crouch scored his 100th and I've defended him staunchly as he always gives 100%. Once again he's there for us again yesterday. Most people's issue with him is that he doesn't score 20 a season. Said people have looked silly time and time again as he's continuously pulled us out of situations.
I've said this a few times this season, I gave up my ST last season as I saw this coming. I had my Father in law's ST yesterday and the same faces around us that we're always on board with what Hughes was doing are now positively done with him. I sincerely hope John Coates metaphorically goes through the Brit offices and Clayton Woods like Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
I'm completely sick of the players that take 0 responsibly for their 'efforts', we just get a jaded looking Eric Pieters looking sorry for himself. As for Hughes- I think everything that could be said about the bloke has been.
Everyone from top to bottom at Stoke City need to have a long hard look at themselves. Gutless and meandering in direction, something big had to change.

Prozac had the ready. Does anyone know if they had to go into training today. They need to know that the performance yesterday was not acceptable. We don't have enough players who hate loosing. We need defensive midfielders who can tackle and spot a possible pass and the bravery to pass it forward. They all need to be fitter. Next season if there is another midseason break send the players for high altitude training instead of a holiday to Dubai.

If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.
This season has been dull as dishwater!! Disappointing from start to finish. good luck with the end of season highlights compilation!! I'm usually very optimistic, but it's just felt like hard work this year!

Ange has made a good point about needing new players but that it will be difficult to get them in. We need to be planning for next for next season now. Unfortunately, I suspect that the players and management will swan off for the summer and that we will struggle to recruit the number of players we need prior to the first game next season.
Is it any wonder that the players aren't playing for Hughes - his man management is completely lacking. The team changes week in week out irrespective of good or bad performances. Hughes doesn't know his best team and seems incapable of motivating the players. As fans we deserve to know what the hell has gone on with the treatment of Bony, Imbula, Joselu, Bojan and Diouf.
We've lost our passion, heart, desire and commitment and have become an easy touch. The minute we let a goal in heads go down and we throw the towel in. Hughes record has been appalling recently - someone said yesterday we had 1 win in 10 and only 3 wins in 16. That's not good enough.
The management need to sit down now and decide what to do now and plan for next season now. If it's not sorted now, we will be in a relegation scrap next year.
Cheers

The issue for me is related to the talent we've secured over the last few years. Some of these players could potentially play at champions league level - Bojan, Shaq, Ramadan. Then we also have Joselu and Imbula. These are bloody good players, but they're either binned or sidelined by Hughes because he hasn't got the man management skills to make them play to their ability and integrate into the first team.
If we stick with Hughes we will lose most of the above players, not only losing money but also a once in a generation squad of European talent. I've never known a squad like this, yet Hughes has avoided relegation thanks to TPs old reliables.
Reluctantly, got to be time to go.

Good evening
If we'd got all of our points against top teams and none against the ones in the bottom half would that be any different?
Coates will know how he wants to see next season pan out.
He will know if he wants to change the manager
He will only do that if he can find someone to improve the team
We will have forfeited a significant amount of money by falling below ninth
Such a disappointing season
Onwards and upwards

I have to agree with you Ange. That midfield wouldn't frighten a 1st division team !
.I think I'm cloning into Russ, like him i'm losing faith in Hughes as quick as a hooker loses her knickers on a Friday night !.(Edit that out if you want) 😀
It looks like Ange was right all along. I thought she moaned for the sake of it, but she's been proven right.
Great show 👍

I have dug up some old stats from the 2012/13 season. When Pulis left. Can you guess where we finished? 13th we managed 9 wins, 15 draw and 14 losses. We ended the season with 42 points. The end of Pulis. We are currently 14th under Hughes, admittedly with more wins but with 2 more losses, I believe if Hughes doesn't get a point next weekend he's gone, we are on 41 points. So in hindsight, Hughes has had a shocker. He needs to go. www.premierleague.com/tables?co=1&se=21&mw=-1&ha=-1

So far Hughes has 2 points with one game left.

It seems to me that our football club has become a bit of a holiday camp for certain individuals. We need a good rid out of deadwood, with a new manager and backroom staff and to get rid of this zonal marking for a kickoff,it is killing us!
