Are there any figures on this anywhere? I noticed mickmills say in another thread about the "hundreds of thousands" of Stoke fans around the world. Which got me thinking, is that accurate? I cant even find how many official club members we have, let alone find any figures to back up that claim. Is a million fans a ridiculous number? Is 200,000 too low? (that would mean roughly 25% of us were at the recent Wembley Semi-final) I honestly have no idea, but you would think Bet365 keep an eye on this type of stuff. Does the recent interest in our Sobhi count?

Does the recent interest in our Sobhi count? I reckon Sobhi has increased our 'global following' significantly. Most of them being from Egypt.

I will always remember having intense and prolonged conversations with the Indian staff working on the maldives about the finer points of Rory Delaps throw in
from then on - I knew, we were a worldwide brand

I don't think many of the Egyptian hoard will support Stoke, they just seem to support Sobhi, plus after this season there would be a lot less of them.

Cameron seems to be taking long throws these days, maybe we should sign an American QB to boost the American following.

What about if I said Rory Delap made Stoke so famous in other countries that there was a picture of the Brit in every governmental office in the world and every nation has changed its official language to Delapese

I agree millions in Egypt are supporting Stoke nowadays but I cant say they are real fan but they are potential fans if Stoke has creative staff to convert them from temporarily supporters into permanent supporters

Unless we could see oversees shirt sales and tickets then it would be hard to quantify and even then it's barely a true number.
Is social media followers a good indicator? I have no idea tbh.
Man Yoo, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool, Spurs, Everton and West Ham have over 1m followers on Twatter.
Then there's Southampton on nearly 750k and then us on 720k.
Which is about right really I reckon.

Cameron has definitely made Stoke a household name among Americans that follow soccer. I'm a Half-Yank (one half having originated from Walton, Stone, Staffs) living in the far NW corner of Washington State, just across the Salish Sea from Victoria, BC. Watching Stoke play the Arse as I type......buggers, Arse just scored. A huge improvement here is that NBC took over EPL broadcasting and show most games on live telly plus highlight shows. Final weekend, they broadcast all 10 games live on their various channels. I do what I can to spread the joy that is Stoke City. Lifetime fan here having seen Stoke play many times......including Sir Stanley.
