If proof was needed it would just be a chance for clubs to go abroad to earn some cash I see when the season is over and the players could be given a full 3 months off what are Tottenham and Liverpool doing as soon as this season finishes ?
Yep they are jetting off to Hong Kong and Australia respectively to earn some cash in meaningless friendlies
Let's see if mr Klopp and Pochetino moan about fixture congestion next season

How long would a proposed winter break last? You just know what would happen don't you? We would all take a 2 week break in January while it was unseasonably warm and mild and return in February to an artic blast and everyone would agree the whole idea was nuts!

Of course they will and Liverpool's fitness record has been one of the worst this season too.

Loads of room spread out in the beer garden in my shorts pre-match and then watching the matching in the sun, or packed into the pub like sardines before freezing my nads off in the ground?
Hmmm ... let me think about this for a (nano) second.

I'm not altogether surprised to learn you like to also be nicely warm while watching us employ an ingratiatingly progressive playing style Mind boggling isn't it fancy thinking that watching football could actually be a pleasurable experience. I mean night games in the depths of Winter which could be played in March April or May, who'd come up with something so preposterous. Nice night game watching good football played on a balmy evening in May but nobody can do it because we might just might be in the semi final of the Champions league. Weekends wasted in the nice early season weather lost to pointless internationals against San Marino. Sorry they ought to look after the interests of the masses of fans and if they're so keen on mid Winter they should fuck off and have their fixtures then.

Most things are nicer in the warm weather than the cold weather but surely the point is and has been for generations that it gets folks out doing something on bad weather days rather than festering in the house. People will go out on nice days whether there is football on or not. Its a community thing.

I'd like to see more fixture early and late season and less in the depths of Winter. For me its a no brainer but the few (international and Euro games) take precedence over the many (league games, the cash cow).

I'd really rather stay in, I always suffer the next day after getting really cold. I suppose I'd really much prefer a Summer season to a Winter one. I really couldn't give a stuff about tradition.

Move those into Winter it would give me something to watch on tv.

Again on the flip side though a nice sunny weekend away with the missus and kids spending some quality family time together, or a cold, miserable one stuck in some shitty play centre cause it's zero degrees outside (or even worse wandering round IKEA) Swings and roundabouts......

Why don't we just get rid of one of the two domestic cup competitions? We should just stop entering the Carling Cup. Bloody daft.

No worries I don't actually take my suggestions seriously just saying how it would be if it was all done to suit me which obviously it isn't and shouldn't be.

The only way I'd accept this is if they get all the sodding pointless International games out of the way during the break
