Allegedly only met Mike Ashley once in his time at Newcastle. Big meeting next week to discuss funding and Ashley notoriously tight-fisted when it vote especially to providing a transfer kitty. Who'd have Rafa at Stoke?

He's a very good manager, but he'll want the same type of budget at Stoke, reportedly £70 million. Would Coates give it to him?

One of his comments in the Football Focus interview was essentially that Newcastle was handy for his family in Liverpool. A clear 'come and get me, Stoke' 😉

We don't have a vacancy do we? We'd need to first fire the incumbent.
I don't think Rafa has managd a relative 'tiddler' like us since he was at Tenerife in 2001, I'm not sure quite sure exactly why but I don't think it would have a happy conclusion.

I'd eat Mike Ashleys shit to have rafa at stoke. You could get a job with Sports Direct in one of their distribution centres: with the terms they offer it's tantamount to doing the same thing.....

And why would he come to Stoke? Oatcakes. The incinerator. The nightlife up Hanley, duck. Wayne Walkers quality and value meat. The outlets at Festival Park and the outstanding transport network allowing quick and easy access at all times. The list goes on.

Don't get it. Only due to Brighton inexplicably folding has he won the division. Managing Newcastle to the title in that league, with their players and budget should have been a steering job. They've lost some shockers at home.

They've lost some shockers at home. You could say the same about Guardiola, and look how that's gone. Newcastle are only the 2nd team in the last 6 years to bounce back up automatically. He's done a good job. Not a spectacular job, but a good one.

Indeed he did, and I for one am very grateful, as I had a load of money invested in him to do just that. Not sure I've ever been so lucky with a bet.

I wouldn't bank on it. 'Every last penny' could mean anything as far as that fat cunt is concerned. Lets wait and see what happens when rafa identifies his first target, probably a spanish player, with the spanish club asking for a ridiculous transfer fee as all spanish clubs do, and the player asking for 100k a week

Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez can expect up to £100m to spend on new players following "positive" discussions with owner Mike Ashley.
If Newcastle spend that and we only spend the bit we are going to get from player sales like Imbula etc then we will be worse off than this season?
