How do celta vigo manage to spend millions less than us, have fucking guidetti up front, transform aspas who was a failure, and end up in a UEFA cup semi?
Its all about coaching isn't it, not just throwing money at things

Adam Vass when left us went play for Brescia in italy for 5 years, played for couple other european clubs, now playing back in his homeland in hungarys top tier for Budapest. Was Daniel Waas that name you heard

Its all about coaching isn't it, not just throwing money at things I'm glad someone noticed! The money is a problem sometimes. Stoke being an example. The whole thing we all think now is spend money to show ambition and not get left behind. In the last two years we have spent loads of money and it's worked out patchily. So the solution is spend more money and then what? It would be just as beneficial to work out how to get more from the players we currently have.

Afraid there are some has beens in our squad. It's about bloody time they were moved on, instead of giving them more contracts. If you don't like it, the truth hurts! There are a good few who wouldn't get in another premiership squad! On another note, it looks disappointingly like the shit are going to the final. I hope Ajax are good enough to beat em!

Entertaining half. Celta play really nice football and that's the Guidetti who couldn't get into a Hughes side, as shown by the fact he's playing well in a semi final Man United should have 2 or 3 goals by now and Pogba is just so good to watch.

Celta Vigo would love to have Bony, Shaqiri, Berahino, Arnie, Bojan, Sobhi, Allen, Imbula etc. They just dont have that level of player in their squad. They are well organised and play to their strengths. At stoke we keep bringing different strikers in etc without realising that our non existent game plan means any striker will fail. I'd like to see Hughes and co either do some fucking coaching and get the best out of what we have or we get a proper coaching team in

I aren't knocking our management team because I can't claim to know what happens behind the scenes. But throughout the Premier League there is an obsession with spending money and if it's wasted just spend some more instead of working with what they have. That's why, in some cases, the money is the problem. It leads to panel shows discussing good windows and bad windows. How about the bloody football ferfuxache?

It was a good goal, fair play. I still hate them and lose in either the second leg (unlikely) or the final where hopefully they will be torn apart.

Super John Guidetti starts. Vamos Celestes!!! Yet another awful Hughes signing And that ladies and gents, is what I love about the Oatcake. The fact that Guidetti is playing in a European semi final, when he was gash for us, means that Hughes is a shit manager, as he clearly couldn't get the best out of him. Or, the fact that he was gash for us is because Hughes is a shit manager, even though it was only a short term loan for a top four squad player, who ultimately failed to make in in England. So is Hughes shit because Guidetti is shit, or because it turns out Guidetti is ace? Come to that are there any more ways in which an irrelevant to Stoke European second-tier cup game can be re-shaped into a stick beat Hughes with?

Guidetti was so far from fit and ready for us that it's not even worth discussing. It was a mistake to bring him in though.
