In the new world of sponsors logos and players names for global TV audiences no on seems to know what to do with stripes
I wonder if it is RIP stripes longer term?

Yes, it is. I think Saints fans will be liking it. And that Sunderland shirt reminds me of one of ours from about 15 years ago. Stripes not quite so numerous but ours was definitely more AC Milan than usual. On checking, not nearly so awful... www.classicfootballshirts.co.uk/2004-06-stoke-city-home-shirt-s-210842.html

I see Huddersfield Town launched their kit yesterday, without the comedy dust sheet at the back.

Their away top looks ace That sponsor is awful. The kits are simple and tasteful.. As mentioned by others it looks like you need to be 'whippet' build to wear it. Expect to see a lot of gut busting fans at villa park next season

Macron are a disgrace. Micky mouse company. Micky mouse shirt. Possibly worst stoke kit of all time. It shouldn't matter but it does - stoke are a brand and the club is harming its own product. Pathetic.

Pathetic. I did much prefer the NB stuff but seemingly replica kit sales are doing well... So how much harm are they actually doing?

I was more than abit concerned when heard Macron had been made our kit suppliers last year but I've got to say I don't think they've been too bad at all. At least Macron try to make each teams kit they provide for different and novel unlike the usual gash Nike, Adidas and now even Puma are producing for their teams. The Nike template from the current England shirt has been used by so many teams and the current Chelsea and Man City shirts are all the same design just different colours. Puma have overused the blurred dot effect on all the teams they provide for, and it's awful. Adidas are throwing out some right boring kits at the mo, Watford and Birmiingham home and away shirts are prime examples of how they overuse previous seasons boring templates. Whilst Stoke fans could complain with the all White back on our home shirt for a second year running I see this as a feature the club have insisted on purely for commercial worth of fans almost needing to purchase the names and numbers to make the shirt complete. Their are examples of Macron producing full striped shirts for other teams so it's clearly not them that's against it. I was always a big fan of adidas and for the top teams they do make some tailored and good kits but unfortunately we were always their bottom end market and always had their standard template and just adidas branded socks for eg. Again Umbro have been busy with the same templated kit designs this year although wouldn't of minded seeing what they of could of done with us this season. Them Umbro diamond effects down the sleeves could of made a great effort of reproducing our early 80's design. This seasons training gear that Macron have produced us looks awesome and is a vast improvement on last years design and all looks worth a purchase. Even despite doubts about the new designed away top it's slowly grown on me, at least it's different!

Happy with the quality myself and agreed nowhere near the worst. But to conform with the oatcake standard of posting at the minute I will conclude with it's all wank scholes put Coates should leave and if we don't spend a hundred million and finish top 4 I'm off down the vale where they are on the up

I liked our Adidas kits best, I know they weren't all bespoke but at least there was some semblance of quality and some vague evidence of tailoring.
