2-0 for Celtic already. Rogers only ever raises one arm when they score. It was the same at Liverpool.

Is he? Underachieved at Liverpool. Bettered at Swansea by Laudrup. And won a one horse race in Scotland.

They should have won it, he fucked it up delightfully. You mean Gerrard did? How the fuck can you blame Rodgers? He made the mistake of sticking to what had got them into a title winning position in the first place rather than being a bit more pragmatic in the final games. An error by a youngish manager which he has no doubt learned from. To class him as a shit manager for that is beyond idiocy.

It was gung ho idiocy. The season after that was then really crap for them. He's an average manager who is a colossal cunt.

Crystal Palace away - was it 2-0 or 3-0 up and gave it away and he did sod all to manage the game. Win that and they were almost home, as they should have been with Suarez and Sturridge playing as they were.

Have you ever thought, in the last 10 years that Liverpool should win the title before the season started?

Rodgers' CV: Had a season at Watford, getting them into a relegation battle but finishing mid-table before joining his old club Reading. Sacked after 6 months at Reading, with them in a relegation battle. Inherited Martinez's Swansea, a mid-table Premier League squad in the Championship, they went up via the play-offs and he had a season in the Prem with them, comfortably mid-table before leaving for Liverpool. His first season at Liverpool was shit (finished 7th in the league, out of both domestic cups early and out of the Europa in the first knockout round) but he was given time because there was an accepted transition period from having the likes of Andy Carroll to that Roberto Martinez's Swansea style that he was known for. His second season at Liverpool was when they didn't win the Premier League with the best forward in the world scoring for fun, and a worse season than last year for the big teams with the likes of Moyes struggling at Man Utd. He had a shit third season, out of the Champions League at the first hurdle, dropped into the Europa league but out of that at the first hurdle, had a 6-1 drubbing by us on the last day of the season and finished outside of any European places becoming the first Liverpool manager not to win a trophy in 3 seasons with Liverpool for 60 years. Sacked by Liverpool early into the next season, joined Celtic and has single-handedly turned them into a force in the SPL. Top, top manager.

The best manager we could get at our level. Talks of Mancini and the likes are laughable. Would cost a fair bit in compo though.

Rodgers looks nailed on to stay at Celtic for the foreseeable future. The Jury is probably still out on him but his ability to get players playing at the top of their ability is there for all to see.

Rodgers looks nailed on to stay at Celtic for the foreseeable future. The Jury is probably still out on him but his ability to get players playing at the top of their ability is there for all to see. Where has he done that? That Celtic squad at 60% of their ability should win every match domestically. You can only really judge him while he's there in Europe and they were dog shit this season, drawing with Man City aside. They scraped past a Gibraltan side, Lincoln (losing over there); a team from Kazakstan (drawing over there); an Israeli team that nobody had ever heard of (losing over there) and then finished bottom of the group without winning a match. 2 out of his 3 seasons at Liverpool, the squad massively underachieved, finishing 6th and 7th with a top 4 squad. They had the best squad in the league when they came close to the title. Cardiff City with Suarez would have been close to winning it that year. Had Martinez and Sousa's mid-table Premier League quality Swansea team that peaked when he left, under Laudrup. Rubbish at Reading and Watford. I don't think it's ever been obvious that the players are playing at the top of their ability under him. I don't think there's anybody that comes close to him when it comes to overrated managers.
