9 Goals and 12 Assists from midfield this season, in a team that's in the bottom 3!!! Should Swansea go down we should be fighting tooth and nail for him, and generating some of the money getting shut of Imbula!!!

He'd be my number one summer target, but talk of 30m being required to sign him and bigger clubs than us being interested, unfortunately!

Just cannot see us signing him. I wish we could though. He would definitely be a step in the right direction. In fact, I can't believe one of the greedy big clubs haven't signed him.

He would be a flop anywhere else. Has to operate as the star player.

Great player , but the lad Billing from Huddersfield would be a more realistic target and still only 20..

I think we'd be better off investing money in our back line, concentrate on getting Butland fit and keeping Shaqiri fit and bringing in at least one very solid and mobile ball winner in midfield.
We have the firepower in spades but if we're honest, the lack of a solid base behind them (Butland out and Shawcross' back problems with multiple partners) has hindered them and us over the past 18 months.
I'm confident that in Shaqiri and Arnautovic, we have two players capable of hitting 9 goals and 12 assists each (...and more) with the right base behind them.

Get Indi signed and a new LB and your ball winner and we are good to go

We need to keep Arnie and Shaqiri, a very poor end to the season and they may be tempted to look elsewhere. The biggest temptation for Sigurdsson, would to be a reunion with Joe Allen beta.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17418131?print=trueBut I think he will be looking at a bigger club

Great player, though 30 million? Not sure Coates would fund that one at the moment There's a really good special on youth development and coaching in Iceland - Men in Blazers special with Iceland manager Heimir Hallgrímsson - that mentions it wasn't until Gylfi was 18/19 that they realised he'd be good enough. Be interesting to see where he goes if they do go down. Everton? West Ham? Southampton? We should be looking at him really if we want to progress.

Thats what you pay for a punt from the championship not a proven premier league performer. Yes its stupid money but thats "football reality", had to put it in inverted commas the two words really don't belong together, its a parallel fucking universe.

In the modern market, inflated by the new TV deal, double that. We have no chance anyway. If he doesn't go to Everton, he'll go abroad.

We've got to get these types before they prove it in te Premier League, haven't we? When they're proven, they're beyond us. www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-face-fight-sign-gylfi-12765116Blues boss Ronald Koeman is a huge admirer of the Iceland international and a £28m approach was strongly rebuffed last summer. A £35m bid from China was rejected by the Swans in January and the club’s American owners would be wary of cashing in on another one of their star names, especially after the reaction to losing Ashley Williams to Everton in August.
