I had the same feeling about; David Gregory Paul Cook Tony Ellis Simon Stainrod Paul Stewart John Tudor Kyle Lightbourne Martin Carruthers David Herd Dave Bamber Who's Paul Cook? Was he the one who scored a Vale when we had a home game there?

Players who've had long term injuries come back and look sharper than Saido!

He looks slow and sluggish, bad in the air, yet to see him have a real shot in anger. We'll see what happens next year, but I'll say what I said when he signed, there were better options out there, and Hughes was blinded by the fact he'd been chasing him for 18 months.

Jeff. Cooke ? ... we could also cite Dez Backos. The difference is they were signed for fuckall with similar expectations.

There was no reason not to wait until the summer and get him for pennies. Then no one would care and there'd be no pressure to play him. His upside is his potential for the future but this league is all about the now. Walters would have buried one of those two FREE headers and Saido is struggling to locate his banjo let alone the cows arse, and shows no signs of anything positive besides running around to pressure. Hmmm doesn't Walters get slated for that?!

Strikers often thrive on confidence and I am hoping once he scores his first goal for Stoke, he will show his truth worth. That being said, I still have my doubts. He seems slow for a striker.

I'm actually quite pleased to see MH persist with a misfiring player for once. Should have done the same with Imbula and Bony. Hopefully Berahino is learning some hard lessons about focus. I think he'll be good to go next season.

Can't afford to keep giving players chance after chance to prove themselves. We need a big clear out and plenty of good signings and a in the summer and a good start to next season or its bye bye Hughes.

He's a young lad who has gone through a lot publicly, and i dare say a whole lot more privately for nigh on 18 months. Going back further he's gone through things kids should never have to.
I'm not saying he'll turn into a world beater or making excuses for the lad but i wonder what would happen to others in the same situation?
On top of that he has joined a disjointed side where the manager is chopping and changing the side every week. It isn't going to help matters at all. At the end of the day he is a human and not a robot.
There is only one way out of this and that is for supporters to support him, sing and chant his name and drag him back to form.

He's starting his Stoke career in a side that's bereft of any sort of style or, composure, management or leadership. I don't think it's totally fair to make assessment of him yet.

He'll not come good under Hughes that's for sure. We have very good players but the manager hasn't got a clue how to get the best out of them.

I thought that Berahino might have taken the penalty yesterday. I think that would have given him the confidence that he is lacking at the moment. I think he would have done a better job than Arnautovic. That was a shocking penalty

Not as punishment but to get him to get that feeling of scoring goals again..
