So, even players costing 70 80 90 million quid can still churn out an absolute dog shit game of football

Ashley young's shooting is beyond pathetic
Mourinho resorts to 'catenaccio', a stifling style of play perfected by Helenio Herrera when coaching Inter in the 1960s

Just what makes mourinho think he's still number 1?
He spent millions on a team which is struggling to get into the top 4 of the EPL

5 point gap with Tottenham having the superior goal difference.
You'd expect Tottenham will need to win every remaining game to stand a chance...but you'd not rule that out !

Great result.
Makes the league interesting at the top. Would much rather see Spurs win the league than Chelsea.

I'd like to see Tottenham win the league, partly because it would make a change, partly because they're great to watch, and partly because it would seriously piss-off everyone connected to Arsenal.

Phil McNulty on the BBC News Feed: That would be funny if it wasn't actually intended to be referring to Tottenham fans (try anywhere but Manchester Phil!)

Seeing fibreglass and Cahill in tears would be a thing of beauty, as would seeing asmir depart Stamford Bridge trophyless and with his tail between his legs.

As I explained in another thread, I've been following other teams as a neutral to become familiar with English football.
I started with Chelsea last season, started this season with Spurs, and now am here.
The Chelsea fans I interacted with were by and large very classy and reasonable even amid an awful season for them. Once Mourinho left, I grew a real affinity with them. Maybe they weren't representative of Chelsea fans, but it is one of the major Chelsea forums, so there were a lot of fans there.
The Spurs fans, on the other hand, were absolutely insufferable. I had chosen Spurs to follow because I liked their style of play. Their fans ruined it for me, and now I root against them more than any other team.
There were seriously no redeeming qualities I could discern about Spurs fans collectively. I tried two different forums.
It was supposed to be a season long project, but I became so pissed off that I ended it early and came here.

Also, Pochettino's victim comments grate on me. Here's what he said a few days ago about Spurs' thuggish performance against Chelsea last season when they broke the record for yellow cards, and it should have been more. There was a retrospective ban for eye gouging. "It was so, so difficult because the team that all the world tried to kill was Tottenham in second place. It was impossible to understand why. It was very good to hear that comment from Ranieri because it means a lot. It means a lot. Leicester fully deserved the title but now, I think you understand more our behaviour against Chelsea. Now, you recognise that the situation was so, so difficult for us. We learned a lot from last season. There was a very bad period at the end when we spent a lot of energy fighting against Leicester but also against West Bromwich, against Chelsea, against the media, against the people." www.theguardian.com/football/2017/apr/15/mauricio-pochettino-world-killed-tottenham-leicester-chelsea-bournemouth

What's your thoughts on the mighty potters? And what made you choose us next? So far I'm enjoying this place! I'm a bit surprised at the negativity though. I'm not even sure that Chelsea fans, after Mourinho left (that prick makes everything toxic), were as negative amidst their disastrous season. I understand that some posters are overly negative for the sake of being negative and use it to become famous on the board. And it works unfortunately. It took me less than a few days to become familiar with a certain poster beginning with b whom I envision living in a rusty steel can on Sesame Street Even excluding that poster, there's still a surprisingly negative vibe. From the outside, Stoke are an extremely well run club. Too many clubs are totally fucked up and rotting from the top down. Sunderland are one example. Aston Villa, Leeds, Leyton Orient, the list goes on and on. Chelsea are pretty fucked up in ways too. In addition, except for maybe Bournemouth, no other top tier club has achieved as much relative to their size in the last decade. There is something impersonal about the larger Premier League clubs. They are all owned by consortiums or foreign sugar daddies rather than local lifelong fans. Stoke have managed to achieve the very difficult task of top tier stability without becoming pretentious or losing their connection with the local people. This is only the perception from the outside, and outsiders often draw false conclusions from their limited knowledge, so it's insightful to read the less rosy views from those that know the club well.

I take it you have caught on to my dislike of manure. Cannot bear to use their correct name. Chelsea let me down big time yesterday! If you read my posts regularly, you will also find out that I'm a seriously bad loser, especially where Stoke City are concerned! Don't read too much into my posts, because I do actually love this club!
