Hughes has made it that way
Sobhi out, berahino in.. He's having a laugh
I want to pay my money to watch a proper footballer like sobhi, not some tart like berahino
Just a total lack of energy in midfield
Unless Joe Allen plays, and then lots of energy from Allen with None of his team mates backing him up
Bet the crowd weren't bored at white hart lane watching their lads give it a proper go
Nobody expects us to play better than spurs.
But some attitude and endeavour in the middle of the park would help the mood

Hughes hasn't caused us to be poor.
Apart from the first couple of seasons back up we are the same as most other home Premier league crowds.
We have a poor catalogue of songs and will never return to those noisy days. They were very much the exception

There was still 10 min left plus injury time, what a joke Mate some folk were walking out on 75 minutes and as a consequence missed probably one of the best goals at the ground for years๐คI really don't get it at all and as for the family stand WTF?It was half empty during the game as well

Atmosphere virtually non-existent by our standards yesterday but still better than the atmosphere at The Hawthorns this afternoon.

As i mentioned yesterday, the quiet support is happening at a majority of premier league sides. Looking at the wba liverpool match right now I see quite a few people down near the touchline with their phones out recording throughout the match. Football is becoming more of a tourist attraction due to the pricing in this country rather than being made for the real fans. There isn't necessarily anything wrong with this to a certain degree but it means that more of the more regular followers miss out because over time it racks up costs. Is it any wonder that german football clubs for instance have such a fantastic following? Dortmund for instance, we all know they have an incredible support. But that's because they have free standing sections, are co owned by the fans, have free travel that brings people straight to the grounds and affordable ticket prices.

We've got way too higher opinion of ourselves. Unless we're massive underdog's or there's a bad tackle or decision against us, then it's been like this for years. By years, I mean for as long as I can remember. Maybe its the 10,000 vale fans amongst us (As mentioned on another thread)

I suspect that Potteries folk, like many others, are at their best in a backs to the wall struggle against the odds. It's in the DNA in a generally down trodden area such as ours. The past few seasons have produced more and more games where the team is, in theory, superior to the opposition but the outcome has been either a rather flat uninspiring victory or demoralising defeat. It's drained the sense of anticipation from home fixtures but it's nothing that couldn't be restored.
Personally the last thing I think we need is the orchestrated fan 'mania' that is often on display in foreign grounds (which attempts have been made to reproduce at places such as Palace and Celtic) - scratch the surface and there is nothing there.

In boothen yesterday we had 2 different groups at each end singing different songs so that doesn't help. But its mainly down to seating not helping for an atmosphere as when grounds had terracing it was easier for the singers to gather together.
