Not for me.
The fact that we're playing centre halves in centre midfield tells you all you need to know about how Hughes' management has gone tits up.

Happily have less Cameron mind, can't find a stoke player.

i've always been a bit suspicious of the 'play him dm' position, but that half hour did give me some hope for him there. it's certainly possible to develop a new position for a player without it being a 'make-do'. just look at what pochettino did with eric dier at spurs.

Oh and Hughes himself of course!

Happily have less Cameron mind, can't find a stoke player. Cameron's been great since he's come back into the side IMO. No his passing isn't the best but his athleticism and tackling help us massively.

Worth a look but we have to sign a dominant player there. Cam has done ok but was poor today Allen is one but need new blood in that area with a proper athlete who can pass forward and full of energy .

He was alright there- did some stuff well, but at other times got beaten too easily and gave the ball away a bit.
I'd rather him get a decent shot at LB for the next five games. Pieters has more than had his chance there.

Fuckin ell, opinions eh! I've always thought he'd been worth a go in midfield but thought he was distinctly average at best today.

I know Bardsley has also been earmarked for the exit. Typical fucking Stoke fans, always been the same since I started supporting them in '74. Why are they always fucking whining and moaning? Get a grip girlies.

Showed enough promise as a ball playing holding midfielder once the manager changed that absurd formation
I would give him the remaining games to see if he can grow in to the role and solve one of the dilemmas for next season

Totally agree, really should be given the chance to solve the defensive midfield problem we have, either alongside Cameron or Allen but deserves a chance to prove he either can or can't do the job.

His injury record is a huge problem though. He played really well in two positions yesterday and played well in his other outing at Burnley. Can we rely on his availability though?

If we could combine Cameron's athleticism with Muniesa's footballing brain and skill, we would have one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League. Oh, wait a minute, we had that with N'Zonzi.

Do fans really like him because of his smile and friendly appearance. He has technical talent and looks good in short periods but we have never seen him get a long run in the team be it injury or consistency.
He does make many mistakes thus a risk but a midfield run could help but I expect him to return to La Liga in the summer and wish him the best.

Nothing to be lost from keeping him there for the remaining games to see how well he copes .

Not for me. The fact that we're playing centre halves in centre midfield tells you all you need to know about how Hughes' management has gone tits up. It is you who are attaching a label onto Muniesa. He is a footballer not just a centre half. The lad possesses all the qualities to forge a regular place in midfield and if he is a success I'm sure he would then get another label!
