60 games in USA, including all matches of the quarterfinals, semifinals and final. 10 in Mexico. 10 in Canada.

Will any of the teams playing in Mexico, if they qualify for the QFs, have to climb over Trump's Wall?

Good that they allow these smaller nations to group together for bids isn't it

Will any of the teams playing in Mexico, if they qualify for the QFs, have to climb over Trump's Wall? Hopefully he'll be well gone in nine years' time. In a twisted way, Mexico should be happy about Trump. I'm guessing the USA partnered with Canada/Mexico in an effort to alleviate FIFA concerns about Cheeto Jesus, aka Drumpf. The USA could easily host this event alone.

Quite ludicrous, any one of those nations can host it on their own. Just shows what a load of poop the world cup has become. Just an excuse to heat up the world with air miles.

Can I be a coyote for games in Texas? Meet me at the Rio Grande turn before Big Bend and howl like an owl three times if you're a Mexican potter.

Probably will see a lot more joint bids with the expansion to 48 teams. Seems like England ('66) should get to host again before Mexico ('86) and USA ('94).

What was ludicrous was the rotation agreement being scrapped just as it was going to be CONCACAF's turn. Rotation was a temporary thing to ensure Blatter got African votes after Germany outdid them for 2006. It was cynical and self interested everyone saw through it....but it worked. As soon as rotation served him no purpose it was scrapped which says everything.

Not a single large stadium in Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver with adequate seating has a grass pitch. Vancouver plays on artificial turf, TFC's stadium only holds 30,000, Montreal's only 20,000. Would love it if the World Cup came here to Canada but not sure how they'd adapt existing facilities.

Temporary, ethically compromised or whatever, it's clearly CONCACAF that got screwed over by that deal and its abandonment.

However with so many teams in 2026 they might have to have joint hosting duties with other countries from their region. Like Sweden and Norway; or Uruguay, Paraguay, and Chile.

Argentina/Uruguay nailed on for 2030 as the centennial World Cup.
England 2034 at the earliest
England is one of only a handful of countries that could host it by themselves.
Would expect China will be bidding at some point

Its the future of football hosts I think. There are only a few countries who could justify hosting it without the cost, USA Germany England.
Canada for example has the transport infrastructure but has few stadiums big enough.
It'll be
2026 Canada Mexico USA 2030 Argentina Uruguay 2034 England Scotland 2038 China 2042 Australia New Zealand 2046 Eastern Europe

Not much worse than Brasil. The travel there was immense. It's quite a bit worse than Brazil because of longer distances and more time zones. There will be at least one stadium in altitude (Azteca). Most of the US and Mexico are oppressively hot in the summer, adding to the exhaustion. The Brazil tournament took place in their winter. I'm curious about how host country qualification would work. If all three countries get automatic qualification, will there be a spot for another CONCACAF country?

I believe CONCACAF will get 3 + 2 playoff spots so, yes, other federations will have a chance to make the tournament
