Oh well if he just hit a bad pass then obviously all of his passes and tackles the whole game must have been shit just an example OBVIUOSLY, he lost it loads of times and got caught in possession a lot Well from my point of view OBVIOUSLY he played pretty well. If you're watching any player intending to only see the negative then that's all you see. He didn't lose it LOADS of times, nor did he get caught in possession A LOT. That's just nonsense. What he did do was he made LOADS of tackles and interceptions and RARELY gave it away. But then I was watching OBJECTIVELY. No good arguing with me mate, I'm never wrong especially when I've been on the Theakston's. And watching the actual match

Much needed 3 points today. When they equalised, I thought fuck, Pieters again.

On our day we look fairly impressive. The Shaq strike was a thing of beauty as the commentator said. I've watched it nine times now. Hopefully we can push on and win a few more games. Top half finish maybe? Or am I perhaps being a bit too optimistic.

Thoroughly enjoyed that nice treat in waddington suite too.
Great start and could have been 3 up before horror show defending took over. I like Pieters but everything he touches turns to crap atm.
Two superb goals to wrap it up. Let's hope shaq stays fit..

I like this sentence from the Sunday Telegraph's report, which is overall very complementary towards Stoke:
"But ultimately a Stoke side packed with attacking flair had too much for them, producing three superb goals to end a run of four straight defeats."
This wasn't how I felt for most of yesterday's game but I wonder if sometimes we fans are too closely involved to see the wood for the trees.

I can't believe that we on Oatcake are very representative of what the general public think about Stoke and have too much of a downer on Hughes and his players. I've just spent Sunday dinner with a relative who is a ManU fan (I left him to his misery hopefully). He fully expects Stoke to finish in the top ten and above West Brom. There seem to be a lot of us have less faith in our own team than him.

For those who seem unable to take much pleasure from Stoke City these days. 3 stunning goals on Saturday are my main memory from Saturday. I can remember other days when there was nothing like that on offer.

Some people seem to forget we are playing against another team who also want to win the football match and have some good players, they think Stoke have some divine right to win every game and when they don't they have a tantrum

Challenge accepted. Hughes will go with... Grant; Johnson, Shawcross, Indi, Pieters; Shaqiri, Cameron, Whelan, Arnautovic; Walters, Berahino. Can I have 3 bonus pounds for the subs? It'll be Whelan off for Adam, and Berahino off for Crouch. He'll only make a third if Shaqiri has his infamous 'tightness in his calf', then we'll see Sobhi if we're lucky, or more than likely Diouf. I'm interested as to how you've come up with that team. Seems to much of an obvious line up for Hughes! If you're wrong you can give me a quid. The Drunken CommunistNice effort. Chuck a quid in the Donna Louise bucket for me next time you go the game 👍
