I think Butland has to fight to regain his place. Grant has been absolutely outstanding for us and a steal (my player of the season to be honest). As soon as we are safe, Butland should come in for the final few games to stake his claim for next season.

To be honest, if someone comes in with a huge bid (Arsenal) I'd like to sell him and stick with Grant. Even though I think Butland is a better GK, I don't think he gives us so much more than what Grant can already do. Also injuries could plague him again. Not so sure mate

Butland and De Gea were the 2 best goalkeepers in the league last season. So considering he's only 23/24, I think he can become one of the top goalkeepers in the world. I think so too. I don't know about Butland being one of the best last season though. His stats were immense. Most saves made in the PL for weeks. Made huge saves both home and away.

What's going on with Butland? I thought he was supposed to be available sometime in March.
Is he playing in the U23 games now?

I'm not confident we're necessarily going to ever see Jack play again, and I don't just mean for Stoke Yes you're correct, the oatcake doctors diagnosed Jack with the Dean Ashton retirement injury so therefore he'll never play football again, obviously. FFS. You don't have to be a fucking smartarse - I am not an "oatcake doctor", but, and I have no idea how old you are, after 55 years watching football I have seen enough players have injuries that start out simple, and then time passes and we don't see them again.....and time passes...and in the end they actually DON'T come back. There is nothing I would like more than to see Jack back,in a Stoke shirt,at his best, but I have concerns, is all, OK ? FFS..........

Also, I wasn't directly calling you an Oatcake doctor but many on here weeks and months ago were suggesting "they'd heard" all about his injury and how fucked he is, something I choose to believe is bollocks.

i dont understand this love in for grant on the mb? yes lee grant did a great job of stopping the rot from our early season form. but for me he makes too many mistakes so jack has to come back. just going on recent form the goals conceded at spurs, chelsea even burnley he has to do better. imagine if peiters had made the same errors this board will go into meltdown.
